I. Objectives:
1. Knowledge: By the end of the lesson Ps will be able to: make comparisons.
2. Skills:
- Develop Ss speaking and listening skills
3. Language focus:
- Sentence Partners: Who’s + (comparision)? - … + is + (comparision).
- Vocabulary: comparatives of adjectives.
II. Teaching aids:
1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, pictures, cassette.
2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks.
III. Teaching processes:
1. Class organization:
- Greeting
- Checking for the students' attendance.
2. Oral test:
- check the vocabularies of the last lesson.

- Ask Ss to identify the characters in the picture a, b, c Look at the pictures in the

-check vocabulary: rewrite the comparative of words.

-Ask pupils to guess and complete the speech bubbles.

- Model: Call on a pair. Allocate the parts of the
characters the girl and the boy to the pupils. Ask them
to point the pictures and act out the dialogues. Using
the pictures in their books. Monitor the activity and
offer help. Correct pronunciation errors (stress,
assimilation of sounds, intonation) when necessary.
- Call on some pairs to perform their task at the front
of the class. The rest of the class observe and give
comments.
- Have the whole class repeat all the phrases in chorus
to reinforce their pronunciation.
3. Let’s talk:
* Work in groups:
- Ask students to practise asking and answering about
family members’ jobs.

Warm-up:
-Sing a song
1. Listen and repeat:
• Whole class. Have pupils turn to Page 28 of their
Student Books.
- Tell them they are going to learn how to
produce the sound of the letter th in the words
this, that, thin, thick.

-Produce the sounds f and sh a few times. Ask
pupils to say what they think about when they
hear these sounds.

pronunciation.
2. Listen and tick. Then write and say aloud:
-Have pupils look the words.
-Tell the pupils that they are going to listen the
sentences and tick the words they hear.

pupils to listen.

listen as they read. Clap the syllables.
- Play the recording again for pupils to repeat each
line of the chant and clap the syllables.

- Write the chant on page 28 and learn by heart.
- Be ready for unit 15
