Ghi chú:
+ Changeable group: (Nhóm thay đổi được)
Bốn từ loại ở nhóm này có thể được thêm
vào tiền tố (prefix) hay hậu tố (suffix) để
trở thành một trong ba từ loại cịn lại trong
nhóm.
Mặc dù có 8 từ loại, nhưng chỉ có 4 từ loại
này cấu tạo nên dạng Word Form trong

tiếng Anh.

+ Unchangeable group: (Nhóm khơng thay
đổi được)
Bốn từ loại ở nhóm này khơng nhận thêm
tiền tố hay hậu tố và chúng không thay đổi
sang từ loại khác.
Khi làm bài tập Word Form, ta bỏ qua bốn
từ loại này.
Trong nhóm này, đại từ có thể đóng nhiều
vai trị như chủ ngữ, tân ngữ, bổ ngữ; thán
từ đóng vai trị trạng ngữ. Còn hai từ loại
còn lại là giới từ và liên từ trong câu.

Tuy nhiên, tùy theo vị trí và chức năng của
từ trong câu, tám từ loại phải được sử
dụng chính xác.
