future.
3.The benefits of volunteer work
I’m going to talk about many benefits of volunteer work. Volunteer activities do
wonders not only for people and communities in need but also for the volunteers.
To the volunteers, first, volunteering is a great way to meet new people and make
connections. Volunteer work allows us to come into contact with a lot of people and
we may make some great friends. Second, volunteering develops our social skills.
For example, when we volunteer, we spend a lot of time interacting with others,
which improves our communication skills.
To the people in need, such as the disabled, volunteers can encourage them to
become more independent and integrate in the community. For the elderly, visiting
them at home, in hospitals, or making friendly calls to them will make them feel
happier and less lonely.
To sum up, small acts of kindness have a big impact. Volunteer activities bring
benefits to both people in need and volunteers. We should volunteer as much as we
can because it improves ourselves and our community.
