ABSTRACT
In recent yean, career guidance in high schools has received considerable
anention, which is reflected in the vie*,points and guidelines rn education and
policies, contributing to promoting the economies of developed countries.
The main objective ofthis study is to investigate the development ofscientific
publications in terms of quantity, groMh pattems and research trends on
career guidarrce in high schools around the world We used bibliometnc
analysis based on VoSviewer software to conduct a rer,'iew of382 Scopusindexed articles and books published between 1964 and March 2022. This
stud shows that scientific publications on career guidance in high schools

have grown steadily in the 2lst cenlury, especially from 2010 to present.
Recently, the dominanl research trend has been the topics related to prepanng
high school students for career selection; opportunities to create socialjustice
in undentanding and deciding on career choices; ways to obtain social
resources to support career-orientation activities in high schools.
