New conclusions of thesis
In terms of content, Cao Ba Quat’s Han poetry has a lof of obvious new features.
He gave Han poetry a new view about social reality in the country.
It was straightforward to show backwardness of the traditional academic exams.
He refered to the risk of human life and paid attention to human dignity and
conscience in harsh circumstances of the life; described image and civilization of the
western people, clearly realized a danger aggression of the western in the eastern. On
the topic of “love”, women and nature, Cao Ba Quat broke out the norm of medieval
literature. He brought the word "Love" of the Confucian scholar from medieval
literature to daily-life, being close in family relationships, friends and those he ever
sticked close or met in his life; particularly directed his reflection to the women he
encountered in his life. Besides promoting and praising their dignity, Cao Ba Quat
paid attention to non-Confucian ethics through the images of foreign women and their
"dialectic soul"; Cao Ba Quat's poetry writing about nature is very lively, associated
with objective reality.
In terms of art, Cao Ba Quat’s Han poetry changed the great cosmic space in
medieval poetry into space and time of privacy. He also used his chronicle penmanship
effectively.
With the breakthroughs, exploring his own path, Cao Ba Quat has become one

of the few poets who have their styles of medieval literature. His poetry initially
forecasts for the rebellion of a generation, leading to the movement of receiving
