- Class size: 20-30 children at the age of 5-6 years old.
2. Time: 30 minutes
3. Aims:
- Review the vocabulary and structure of previous lesson
- Provide 2 new words of the topic: Cow, Duck
- Provide a structure:
What can you see? – I can see a cow/ duck.
4. Objectives:
a. Knowledge:
- Identify 2 new words: cow, duck
- Memorize learnt structure
b. Skills:
- Pronounce correctly new words: cow, duck
- Practice answering the question with structure : I can see a + ....
- Practice listening and speaking skills
c. Attitudes:
- Be interested in learning English.
- Participate actively in class.
5. Preparation:
a. Environment:
- A large and colorful classroom in order to facilitate learning as well as
maintain students’ comfort and interesting.
- Chairs placed into Arc- shape, U-shape or circle.
b. Teaching aids:
- Lead in: Songs “ Old McDonald had a farm – Super Simple Songs”
- Teaching: Flashcards
- Controlled practice: flashcards, plastic hammer, speaker, bell, sticky
balls

1. Greetings:
Teacher (T) asks students (Ss)
then praises: “ Hello everyone.
How are you today?”
2. Attracting students:
T asks Ss stand up.
T plays the song “Old
McDonald had a farm”
“Everyone, let’s sing and dance
along with T”
T sings loudly and use the body
language to illustrate the song.
T asks ss to go back to their
seats.
1. Classroom rules:
“Everyone look, listen and
repeat”
T speaks rules loudly and asks
Ss repeat after T.
“Rule 1: Sit nicely
Rule 2: Be quiet
Rule 3: Listen to teacher”
2. Teaching:
a. Introduce the topic
T introduces the name of the
new topic and asks Ss repeat.
“Today we are going to learn
topic: Farm animals.”
b. Teaching vocabulary:
“What animals do you know?”
Attach flashcards on the board,
point to the word and say loudly,
then ask Ss repeat the word.
“Everyone, listen and repeat.
What can you see?
I can see a C-O-W”
T passes the flashcards around
the class and asks Ss repeat the
words and corrects their
pronunciation.
Do this with all of the
flashcards.
Try and encourage Ss say and
do some actions

and says “Go to sleep”. Then
asks Ss close their eyes, then T
takes 1 flashcard out. Then T
says “1,2,3 wake up”. Asks Ss
open their eyes and asks “
What’s missing?”
Game 2
- T sticks the flashcards on the
board.
- T asks Ss repeat the words as a
chant. So that Ss remember the
words and words’ location on the
board.
“Everyone look and repeat.
Pig- Chicken- Cow-Duck”
(many times)
-T takes 1 flashcard out and put it
down on the table.
-Asks Ss to continue reading the
chant although 1 flashcard didn’t
have on the board.
-T continues put second flashcard
down and then third flashcards
down but Ss still read the chant.
Follow the right location on the
board.
-When all the flashcards put down,
Ss keep reading the chant. Then
T puts one by one flashcards
back.
-Asks Ss to continue reading the
chant and say the right location.
Game 3
- T asks Ss to arrange the chairs in a
circle, put a chair away each
time to play.
- T plays the song while Ss walk
around the chair and ask the
question: What can you see?
- When T stops the song, Ss also stop
try to sit on 1 chair.
- T asks 1 student who doesn’t have
chair to sit will answer the
question.

- T asks Ss to review all words again.
“What can you see? – I can see
- Ss pay atttention and play game.
- Ss answer: “It’s a ...”
- Ss look at the flashcards and say
the chant.
- Ss still read the chant along with T
without flashcards on the board.
