THÌ HIỆN TẠI ĐƠN - Simple Present tens :
*Cách dùng :


Thì hiện tại đơn diễn tả một sự thật hiển nhiên, một chân lý.

Ex: The sun rises in the East and sets in the West (Mặt trời mọc ở hướng Đơng và lặn ở hướng Tây)


Thì hiện tại đơn diễn tả 1 hành động xảy ra thường xuyên, một thói quen ở hiện tại.

Ex: He gets up early every morning.(Anh dậy sớm mỗi sáng.)


Thì hiện tại đơn diễn tả một năng lực của con người

Ex: He plays badminton very well (Anh ấy chơi cầu lơng rất giỏi)


Ngồi ra, thì hiện tại đơn cịn diễn tả một kế hoạch đã được sắp xếp trong tương lai, đặc biệt là trong
việc di chuyển.

Ex: The train leaves at 9 am tomorrow (Tàu khởi hành lúc 9 giờ sáng ngày mai)

Trong câu có chứa các trạng từ chỉ tần suất như:

Một số cụm từ xuất hiện trong câu sử dụng thì hiện tại đơn:

*Cách thêm s/es :





Lưu ý : Động từ bất quy tắc : Have -> Has

Thêm s vào đằng sau hầu hết các động từ kết thúc là p, t, f, k,… : want-wants; keep-keeps…
Thêm es vào các động từ kết thúc bằng ch, sh, x, s, o, z, ss : teach-teaches; mix-mixes; wash-washes…
Bỏ y và thêm ies vào sau các động từ kết thúc bởi một phụ âm + y: lady-ladies;…
Kết thúc bằng 1 nguyên âm (u, e, o, a, i) thì giữ nguyên động từ rồi thêm s : Buys, Says, Plays, …

*Cách phát âm phụ âm cuối s/es :


/s/: Khi từ có tận cùng là các phụ âm /f/, /t/, /k/, /p/, /ð/.

Ví dụ: likes /laɪks/; cakes /keɪks/; cats /kỉts/; cuffs /kʌfs/; coughs /kɒfs/; paths /pɑːθs/θs/s/


/iz/:Khi từ có tận cùng là các âm /s/, /z/, /∫/, /t∫/, /ʒ/, /dʒ/ (thường có tận cùng là các chữ cái ce, x, z, sh, ch, s, ge).

Ví dụ: misses /mɪsɪz/; places /pleɪsɪz/; washes /wɒʃɪz/


/z/: Khi từ có tận cùng là nguyên âm và các phụ âm còn lại


Ví dụ: cabs /kỉbz/; beds /bedz/; needs /niːθs/dz/; bags /bỉɡz/

*Cách dùng :


Diễn tả một hành động đang diễn ra và kéo dài tại một thời điểm ở hiện tại.

Ex: The children are playing football now. (Bọn trẻ đang chơi bóng đá bây giờ.)


Thường tiếp theo sau mệnh lệnh, câu đề nghị.

Ex: Look! The child is crying. (Nhìn xem! Đứa trẻ đang khóc.)


Diễn tả 1 hành động xảy ra lặp đi lặp lại, dùng phó từ ALWAYS :

Ex: She is always borrowing our books and then she doesn’t remember. (Cô ấy ln mượn sách của chúng tơi và sau đó cơ ấy không nhớ.)


Diễn tả một hành động sắp xảy ra (ở trong tương lai gần)

Ex: Tomorrow, I am taking to the train to ohio to visit a relative (ngày mai, tôi sẽ đi tàu tới Ohio để thăm người thân)

feel (cảm thấy), think (nghĩ), smell (ngửi), love (yêu), hate (ghét), realize (nhận ra), seem

* Cách thêm đi “ing”







Với động từ có tận cùng là e thì bỏ e rồi thêm đuôi ing : Use => Using; Take => Taking; Change => Changing; …
Động từ tận cùng bằng "ee", ta chỉ việc thêm "ing" : see => seeing; free => freeing; agree => agreeing; …
Động từ tận cùng bằng "ie", ta biến "ie" thành "y" rồi thêm "ing" : lie =>lying; die => dying; …
Những động từ tận cùng bằng "y" ta vẫn giữ nguyên "y" khi thêm "ing" : study => studying; stay => staying; …
Với 3 động từ tận cùng là "c" , bạn phải thêm chữ “k” ở cuối rồi mới thêm "ing" : Traffic => trafficking; Mimic =>

Theo quy tắc chung, chúng ta chỉ việc thêm ed vào sau động từ : Look → looked; Work → worked; …
Những động từ tận cùng bằng “e” (câm), “ee” ta chỉ việc thêm d vào cuối động từ đó : Like → liked; Love
→ loved; Invite → Invited; Move → moved; …
Những động từ tận cùng bằng một phụ âm, trước đó có một nguyên âm (u, e, o, a, i), ta nhân đôi phụ âm
rồi thêm ed vào : Stop → stopped; Hug → hugged; Rub → rubbed; Fit → Fitted; Plan → Planned; …







Nhưng nếu phụ âm cuối là h, w, y, x thì chỉ thêm “ed” : Stay → stayed; Allow → allowed; Follow →
followed; Play → played; …
Với những động từ tận cùng bằng chữ “Y” dài, trước đó là “một phụ âm”, thì ta phải đổi “Y” dài thành “i”
ngắn, và thêm “ed” vào cuối động từ : Try → tried; Carry → carried; Study → Studied; …
Nếu trước “Y” là một nguyên âm (a, o, u, i, e) thì ta chỉ thêm “ed” như bình thường : Obey → obeyed; Play
→ played; Enjoy → Enjoyed; …
Đối với động từ bất quy tắc, động từ đổi sang thì quá khứ không theo quy tắc ở trên: Go → went; See →
saw; Buy → bouht; … ( Bảng động từ bất quy tắc )
