responsibilities, education, interests and current work
My full name is Nguyễn Thị Hoài Thương. I am now 28 years old. Currently, I am
working as a doctor at Nghe An Provincial Hospital of Endocrinology.
Since I was little I dreamed of becoming a doctor. A doctor is someone who heals
other people. Thanks to them, many lives were saved. Doctors are also divided into
many types. Surgeons, internists, surgeons, obstetricians, etc. Each person will
have a different task. Doctor working in the hospital. They always wear blue or
white uniforms. They are very busy. Every day, doctors need to contact and
examine many patients. Not everyone can be a good doctor. To become a doctor
you need a good knowledge base, calmness and a warm heart. The doctor always
puts saving lives as the most important task. They love their patients like family
members. Seeing a patient being tortured by illness, the doctor must be extremely
heartbroken. Looking at the doctors who are working hard for the lives of their
patients, I want to become more useful like them. Bring a part of your wisdom and
health to bring good things to those unlucky people who are sick. I graduated from
high school at a famous school in Vinh city in 2013, then I took the university
entrance exam in the same year and entered Hue University of Medicine and
Pharmacy. I have been studying at Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy for 6
years and graduated in 2019 with good grades. After graduating from university, I
was admitted to Nghe An Endocrinology Hospital as an endocrinologist. My work
is relatively busy. I have to deal with a lot of patients every day. I have to visit
them and have them do tests to diagnose their disease, once the diagnosis is
complete, I will conduct the patient's treatment, give advice and advice about the
patient's condition. However, my work also has a lot of pressure because the
hospital is always overloaded, from the requests of patients and family members or

the lack of equipment and supplies, causing the process to be delayed. diagnosis as
well as treatment. I understand the pressures, struggles and difficulties in the
profession, but I always try to cultivate and practice both knowledge and
personality to become a reputable, dedicated and wholehearted doctor for patients.


In my spare time, I like to read books, meditate, most of the books I read are
usually about people and the life around us.

Part 2: Love is full of sacrifice and helps people live meaningful life even in
difficulties. Do you agree with that opinion? Why or why not? Can you also
prove by your understanding of the story “The Gift of the Magi” by O. Henry
and “The Scarlet Letter” by Nathaniel Hawthorne?
Answer:
For me, love always has a great power, great for many people.
No one can doubt, love is a strength and ability that the Creator gives people to
help them overcome difficulties and hardships in life. I completely agree with this
opinion, and it aligns with the profound themes explored in the stories O. Henry's
"The Wizard's Gift" and Nathaniel Hawthorne's "Scarlet Letter."
About the masterpiece "The Gift of the Magi" with the two main characters, Jim
and Della, have expressed the meaning of love through their act of sacrifice. In this
story, neither Jim nor Della is materially rich, yet they also make selfless choices
to show their love for each other. How much Della treasures her hair. But she is
willing to sell her most precious possession, her hair, to buy a necklace for Jim's
dainty pocket watch, while Jim sacrifices his precious watch to buy combs. for
Della's long hair. The story embodies the idea that love transcends material
possessions and stems from acts of sacrifice
Similarly, in "The Scarlet Letter," the character of Hester Prynne exemplifies love's
ability to help individuals live a meaningful life amidst adversity. Hester's
unwavering love for her daughter, Pearl, drives her to endure the public

humiliation and social ostracism inflicted upon her as a result of her affair. Despite
the harsh judgment and condemnation she faces, Hester remains devoted to Pearl's
well-being, sacrificing her own reputation for the sake of her child. Her love
becomes a source of strength and purpose, enabling her to find redemption and
establish a new moral identity.
Both of these stories describe love as a force that motivates people to overcome
obstacles and find ways to face difficulties. The strength of love is found in mutual
understanding, sharing, and sacrifice. It significantly contributes to overcome
challenges in life.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that love can empower people to live meaningful
lives even in difficulties, which has been demonstrated in two stories “The Gift of


the Magi” and “The Scarlet Letter” of two well-known authors. People should
power of love because it will help us find the exact ways to face adversities.
