Answer:
The poem The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost recreates a situation when
the poet is walking on a road with two intersections at the end of the road. He has
to make a choice between two options and he can only choose one of the two. And
in fact, in the life of every human being, there will be situations that force us to
choose our own path, and that path may decide the fates in our own lives. The poet
stands at a fork in the road, pondering over options. He wants to know how cheap
the future of each turn is before choosing to continue on a path within that fork. He
wants to know the advantages and disadvantages of each path, so that he can make
the right choice for himself. In fact, the same thing happens. People have to make
decisions with long-term benefits and drawbacks to themselves, and that decision
has to be truly appropriate. The poet considered for a long time before deciding.
He then chooses the alternative path because he believes both are equally good and
he believes the path he chooses is the best path for him. However, after walking for
a while on the road, he noticed that both roads were equally old. The poet believes
that in the future, once in his life, he has to make a difficult decision and he decides
to follow the path that few people have taken. As a result, it shaped him into the
person he is today. Likewise, in the future, when someone grows up and thinks
back: "When I was young, I used to do this, and now I have the me I am today". I
was in the same situation as a poet. I didn't create the me I am now with easy
decisions and actions, instead, I've always considered the things around me,
analyzed the pros and cons of each decision when weighed, and what I did was
what was right for me and tried to limit the possible consequences.
