My name is Nguyen Thi Hai Yen. I have been working at Nghe An
General Friendship Hospital as a doctor since 2020. I completed my Bachelor of
General Medicine degree from Hanoi Medical University, where I received a
solid foundation in clinical medicine. Following that, I pursued specialized
training in cardiological medicine through a rigorous residency program at a
renowned hospital. This allowed me to gain in-depth knowledge and hands-on
experience in managing complex medical cases. As a doctor, my primary focus
is on providing comprehensive healthcare to adult patients, diagnosing and
treating a wide range of medical conditions. In my practice, I am responsible for
conducting thorough medical

examinations,

ordering diagnostic

tests,

interpreting results, and formulating personalized treatment plans. I believe in a
patient-centered approach, fostering open communication and collaboration with
my patients to ensure they actively participate in their healthcare decisions.
Throughout my medical journey, I developed a keen interest in preventive
medicine, chronic disease management, and lifestyle interventions. My passion
lies in empowering patients to adopt healthier habits, enabling them to lead
fulfilling lives while minimizing the risk of illness.

- Time and Change: The supernatural element of Rip's long sleep, during which
he effectively skips over two decades of his life, emphasizes the passage of time
and the inevitability of change. When Rip falls asleep in the natural world and
wakes up in a supernatural setting, he finds that everything around him has
transformed. The conflict between the familiar natural world and the mysterious,
otherworldly setting of the Catskill Mountains underscores the idea that time
moves on, and life is subject to constant change.
- Escapism and Irresponsibility: Rip's decision to venture into the mountains to

escape his domestic responsibilities reflects a conflict between the natural
