Profit afier tax stated in the audited (separate and consolidated) financial slatements for the year 2021
increased by more than I0oZ compared with that of 2010 as the Bank proactively and flexibly in realizing
the dual goal offighting dgainst Covid-19 epidemics and business developmenl ensuring operqtional safety and
providing timely support for clients to cope with challenges. As a resull, both interest income and non-interest
income increased robustly, particularly 2021 fee income was more thqn doubled lhat of2020 with the key drivers
being bancassurance snd pqyment services. Furthermore, digital lrarcformqtion helped improve operational
efiiciency faciliating the improvement of cost-to-income ratio (CIR). Consolidated CIR inproved to 38.1'%from
44.8% in 2020 and parent bank CIR improved to 34.80%fron 40.801 a year earlier-
