<b>Các bài luận tiếng Anh thi vào 10 chuyênI. Đoạn văn, bài luận (paragraph) là gì?</b>

Đoạn văn là một phần văn bản ngắn, chứa ít nhất 1 câu và bắt đầu tại một dòng mới. Đoạn văn thường đề cập tới một sự việc riêng lẻ, một mơ tả hay ý tưởng nào đó.

Trong các đề thi vào 10 chuyên Anh, yêu cầu viết đoạn văn thường là đoạn văn dài 150 từ. Lưu ý: bạn khơng được xuống dịng khi viết đoạn văn.

<b>II. Bố cục của đoạn văn tiếng Anh</b>

<b>Bố cục của một đoạn văn có ba phần chính: câu chủ đề (topic sentence), các câu hỗ trợ (supporting sentences), và câu kết luận (concluding sentence).</b>

<b>1. Câu chủ đề (topic sentence)</b>

Đây là câu đầu tiên của đoạn và cho người đọc biết chủ đề của đoạn cũng như thông báo cho người đọc biết người viết sẽ viết gì về chủ đề đó.

<b>Trong câu chủ đề có 2 phần chính: phần chủ đề (topic) và ý tưởng chủ đạo (controlling idea).</b>

Phần ý tưởng chủ đạo chính là phần giới hạn nội dung của đoạn, cho người đọc biết rằng đoạn văn chỉ nói đến những khía cạnh nào đó của chủ đề thơi chứ khơng phải những khía cạnh khác.

<i>Ví dụ: với đề bài trên thì câu chủ đề có thể là: Sau khi học xong em muốn trở thành giáo viên tiểu học vìmột vài lí do (After finishing my education, I want to become a teacher at a primary school for several reasons.)</i>

Câu chủ đề này thông báo cho người đọc biết chủ đề của đoạn văn mà người viết sẽ viết là về nghề nghiệp sau khi em học xong cũng như lý giải các lí do lựa chọn nghề nghiệp đó.

<b>2. Các câu hỗ trợ (supporting sentences)</b>

Các câu này nằm sau câu chủ đề và dùng để giải thích thêm cho câu chủ đề hoặc đưa ra các ví dụ minh hoạ. Thầy viết mẫu các câu hỗ trợ cho chủ đề trên như sau:

(Lí do đầu tiên cho việc lựa chọn làm nghề giáo viên của em chính là nguồn cảm hứng được khơi dậy bởi chính những giáo viên của em ở tiểu học. Các thầy cô tốt bụng và tận tuỵ như cha mẹ em, điều mà góp phần khiến cho trải nghiệm của em ở trường học vui và ý nghĩa hơn nhiều. Các thầy cơ cịn dạy cho em mn vàn những điều kì thú về những chủ đề khác nhau và là những tấm gương sáng ngời về nhân phẩm. Tiếp đến, tình yêu trẻ cũng là một lý do giải thích cho ý định làm giáo viên của em. Làm việc với những đứa trẻ vô cùng ngây thơ và đáng yêu có thể giúp em quên đi những muộn phiền và rắc rối em có thể gặp phải trong cuộc sống thường nhật. Cuối cùng chia sẻ kiến thức là điều em muốn thực hiện/theo đuổi khi làm giáo viên. Em luôn khát khao được chia sẻ kiến thức của bản thân cho người khác và giúp họ mở rộng chân trời kiến thức, điều mà có thể có ý nghĩa lớn lao trong việc theo đuổi thành công của họ trong tương lai.)

<b>3. Câu kết luận (concluding sentence)</b>

Đây là câu cuối cùng trong đoạn. Câu này có thể diễn đạt lại câu chủ đề bằng từ ngữ hoặc cấu trúc câu khác hoặc cũng có thể diễn đạt lại các ý chính đã trình bày trong các câu hỗ trợ.

There are four people in my family: my parents, my younger sister and I. My father is a 45-year-old engineer. He spends most of his time in the building sites. That’s why he has a tanned skin. As soon as he comes home, he turns on the television to watch the news, relaxes for a while and then he takes a shower. In case my mother doesn’t cook dinner yet, my father is very happy to join hands and help her. Talk about my mother, she is a 40-year-old primary school teacher. However, the lunch is still prepared very scrupulously. In general, my mother is a gentle caring woman and sometimes she is very strict. I have a younger sister who will be 8 years old next October. My sister is pretty, docile and hard studying. Every weekend, I take her to the park to have fun and we will buy some tasty ice creams. We are quite close and sometimes she makes me very angry because of her negligent habit. The last person in my family is me. I am studying in the second year of a Business Administration major at Hong Bang University. Gia đình tơi gồm có 4 người: bố mẹ tôi, em gái tôi và tôi. Bố tôi là một kĩ sư xây dựng 45 tuổi. Hầu hết thời gian trong ngày ơng ở cơng trường. Đó là lý do vì sao ơng có làn da rám nắng. Ngay khi về đến nhà,ông ấy bật tivi lên để nghe thời sự, thư giãn và sau đó thì đi tắm. Trong trường hợp mẹ tôi vẫn chưa nấu xong bữa tối thì bố tơi sẽ rất vui vẻ để phụ một tay. Nói về mẹ tơi, bà ấy là một giáo viên tiểu học 40 tuổi. Vào mỗi buổi sáng, mẹ tôi luôn là người dậy sớm nhất để chuẩn bị bữa sáng, quần áo và những đồ dùng cần thiết cho bố con tôi. Sau khi chúng tôi đã rời khỏi nhà để đi làm hay đi học mẹ tôi mới dùng vội bữa sáng và chạy đến trường tiểu học. Vào mỗi dịp cuối tuần tôi hay dẫnem đến cơng viên giải trí và đi ăn những cây kem tươi ngon. Chúng tôi khá thân thiết nhưng đôi khi nó làm tơi phát cáu bởi vì thói quen cẩu thả của mình. Người cuối cùng trong gia đình tơi chính là tơi. Tơi đang học năm thứ hai ngành Quản Trị Kinh Doanh tại đại học Hồng Bàng. Lịch học của tôi thường xuyên thay đổi và tôi đang cố để giành được học bổng du học Canada trong năm tới nên tôi không dành nhiều thời gian cho gia đình. Nhưng bất kì khi nào rảnh tơi ln phụ mẹ cơng việc nhà và chăm sóc em gái. Trong gia đình tơi mỗi người đều có một trách nhiệm riêng nhưng chúng tôi luôn sát cánh bên nhau để tận hưởng những giây phút hạnh phúc, vượt qua thời gian khó khăn và cùng giải quyết vấn đề. Many times in my dreams, I find myself becoming a cowboy or a shepherd, discovering new, vast and valuable land. Sometimes, on my adventure, I have to fight with some wild animals such as tigers, leopards, lions ... but with determination and brave, I have overcome all

difficulties, accomplished my destiny: discovering the secret of the vast ocean, the ancient pyramids, exploring diamond mines, fossils from hundreds of years ago. When I told everyone about this job, they were very surprised, especially mom. Mom was very supportive of this dream, it made me feel very happy. I believe that in the future I will have interesting journey.
