1. OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:
- Know the history of the Asian game.
- Can scan for specific information and guess the meaning in the context.
- Remember some events about the Asian game.

3. PROCEDURE
Warm-up: Guessing game
- Show 5 pictures about sport and ask sts to guess the name of sport in each picture
- Ask sts some information about these kind of sports and The Asian game.
Lead in: There are many things about Asian Games that we want to say. Today, we’ll study a new
lesson Unit 12- Reading
Before you read
Pre-Teaching Vocabulary
- Intercultural (a): between culture (Example)
- Multi-sport: event in which many sport are played (Explanation)
- Solidarity (n): tình đoàn kết (Explanation)
- Appreciate (v): to understand the value of st/sb (Example)
- Facility (n): equipment that is provided for a particular purpose (Demonstration)
- Get students repeat and copy in their notebooks
While you read
Task 1
-Ask students to read a passage about Asian games and then do task 1 on p.138
- Walk around the class, offer ideas and comments when students need help
-Call on some students to explain their answer in front of the class
- Check and correct the answers with the whole class


Task 2
- Let Ss read the passage again and complete the table in task 2 (p 138).
- Call on 5 sts to go to board to write out their answer.
- Check with the whole class
Task 3
- Call on some sts to stand up and answer the questions.
After you read
- Ask Ss to close their books and play a game (lucky number)
Home work
Prepare the next part.
Search the internet to find some more information about the Asian Games.
