I. Aims :
- By the end of the lesson, the students are able to describe holiday activities.
- By the end of the lesson, the students are able to organize and write about holiday activities.

Games: Spot the differences
- Put SS into small groups of six.
-Give 3 students in each group a picture
to the other 3 in the group. ( appendix)
-Tell SS not to show their picture to the
other 3 in to the group
-Tell SS there are 5 differences in the
tow pictures, and ask them to make
question or talk to the other 3 in their
group to find out the differences.
-The first group to find all the
differences wins the game.
-Ask SS : what are the people in the
pictures doing ?
-Have you ever joined/ attended a
holiday activity somewhere?
-Imagine you had a pen pal and you
would like to share your experience
with him/her. What would you do?
Transition:- Yes, and today we will
practice writing about holiday activities
to share our experience with other
people.

Activity 1: Recognize Verb
Forms:(tack a, p. 186)
- Tell SS to underline the verb forms in
the letter.
- Elicit from SS to organization of and
the tenses used in the report about the
holiday.
Expected answers: It is organization in
chronological/ time order.
The tenses used are past simple, past
progressive and past perfect.
-Ask SS to distinguish between these
tenses and how they are used in a
report.
Activity2:Fill in a Table
- Ask SS to read the letter and complete
the table about the holiday with suitable
information.
- Tell SS to compare answers with a
partner and then .Check with the class.
