I. Aims :
- By the end of the lesson, the students are able to skim for general ideas.
- By the end of the lesson, the students are able to scan for specific details.
II. Lexical items :

-Moon buses may transport guests on low gravity excursion

- textbook - picture / drawings

- Skill – based ( reading, speaking)

Game: Cut – up Pictures
-Divide the class into three groups ,A,B ,
C
-Give each group the pieces of 3 pictures
cut up and shuffled. (Yuri Gagarin, Neil
Armstrong, and an astronaut).

-tell the groups to put the pieces together
to have complete pictures and then write


the names in the space provided.
-When they have finished, stick their
pictures on the board.
-The first group to finish and get all
correct scores 5 points. With a correct
name, the group wins another 5 points.
-the group with more points wins the
game.
-Check SS’ understanding of instructions
and have them start the game.
-Declare the winner.
-From the pictures, elicit from SS the
topic of the next unit: ‘These pictures
represent the topic of the next unit. What
is it?’
