Games: ‘What’s he like?’
- Divide the class into tow groups A and B.
-Show SS a picture of a person and ask them
who he is. ( Appendix )
( expected : Yuri Gagarin)
-Tell the groups to write down as many
sentences as possible about Yuri Gagarin –
who he was, what he was like.
- The group with more correct sentences about
him wins the game.
-Set a time limit and let SS start the game.
-Read the groups’sentences and check with
the class
-Declare the winner
- Transition:-‘Yuri was an astronaut. What do
you think an astronaut must be like? What are
some requirements of astronauts?’ The
listening today is about how astronauts are
selected.
