1. Reported Speech with Gerund (câu gián tiếp với danh động từ):
Direct Speech (trực tiếp) Indirect speech (gián tiếp)
Uses Lời nói trực tiếp nói ra từ ai đó theo cách thức
trần thuật, mệnh lệnh, yêu cầu, sai khiến.
Dùng để tường thuật lại lời nói trực tiếp cuả ai đó theo
cách thức trần thuật, mệnh lệnh, yêu cầu, sai khiến
Form Thể khẳng định: S + V + O ( hoặc câu hỏi)
Thể phủ định: S + won’t + Vo + O
Didn’t
Model verb (can’t)
Thể khẳng định: S + Verb + O (+ prep) - Ving
Thể phủ định: S + Verb + O (+ prep) – NOT + Ving

Notes
• Chủ từ : thường chỉ người. (S)
• Túc từ : đứng sau động từ tường thuật,
thường chỉ người (O)
• Đổi ngôi khi chuyển từ trực tiếp sang
gián tiếp.
• Reported verb (động từ tường thuật): thường đi kèm
với giới từ.
• Am, is, and are dược đổi thành “being” khi chuyển
sang gián tiếp.
• Present Perfect tense: bỏ “has / have”, đổi V

• Will , can’t, shall, did not + Vo: chỉ chọn “Vo” và
thêm “ing” sau động từ.
• To + Vo : bỏ “to” & chỉ chọn “Vo” và thêm “ing” sau

* Vo + to – Vo : chọn “to – Vo” & sau đó chỉ chọn “Vo”
sau “to” & thêm “ing” sau động từ.
