EAGLES IN A STORM
Do you know that an eagle knows when a storm is approaching long before it
begins?
The eagle will fly to some high spot and wait for the winds to come. When the
storm comes, it sets wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm.
When the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring above it.
The eagle does not escape the storm. It simply uses the storm to lift it higher. It
rises on the winds that bring the storm.
The problems in our life are like the storms. So whenever problems come, do as

the eagle do. Don’t escape them. Instead, face them and let them lift you above. Every
problem presents an opportunity to improve our life.

In the United States, friendships can be close, constant, intense, generous and
real, yet fade away in a short time if circumstances change. Neither side feels hurt by
this. Both may exchange Christmas greetings for a year or two, perhaps a few letters
for a while – then no more. If the same two people meet again by chance, even years
later, they pick up the friendship where it left off and are delighted.
In the United States, you can feel free to visit people’s homes, share their
holidays, or enjoy their lives without fear that you are taking on a lasting obligation.
