I. AIMS:
By the end of the lesson, Ps will be able to ask and answer
about the time.
- Teaching aids: handbook, cue cards, pictures
- Anticipated problems.
II. CONTENT:
1. Number dictation.
- T reads. Ps write
One, ten, four thirty, five, twenty 1, 10, 4,
30
three thirteen, six, forty five, seven forty five, 5, 20
ten thirty, twelve twenty, five, eleven, fifty,
two fifty five.
+ Ps practice saying the numbers they have written with a
partner.

2. Pre teach:
The time (n): Thời gian (example)
Ten o'clock: 10 giờ (đúng) (picture)
Half past [ten]: 10h30' (picture)
A quarter past/to [9]:9h hơn/kém 15'
(to) be late for : chậm, muộn (situation)
he is late for school: anh ấy chậm học

Model sentences.
- What time is it ? / What is the time ?
- it's eight o'clock
ten fifteen / a quarter past ten
half past ten.

a) it's + number + o'clock  nói giờ đúng
b) it's + số giờ + số phút  nói giờ hơn
c) it's + số phút + past + số giờ  nói giờ hơn
