I. Objectives:
- To practice speaking and listening on the phone .
- After the lesson, Ss can speak on the phone.
II. Preparation:
- Material: Textbook, workbook.
- Equipments: tape and cassette.
III. Teaching procedure:

- S1 & S2 : do the given Ex.
- S3 & S4 : write the phone numbers thet T said. .
3. New lesson:
A. Warm- up: Chatting
+ Do you often make a phone call ?
+ How do you ask for a phone number ? (in VietNamese)
B. Presentation:
* Pre- reading
- T: plays the tape for Ss to practice listening with book closed.
- T: asks Ss the telephone Hoa’s telephone number .
- T: asks Ss the question that Lan has asked.
- T: presents the sentence “ What’s your telephone number ? ”.
- T: asks Ss to ask and answer their phone numbers in pairs .
- Some pairs perform in front of the class . Others can make any
correction or addition .
* While- reading:
- T: asks Ss to look at the picture on P.21.
- T: gives some guided questions:
Who are they in the picture? ( Phong and Tam )

What are they doing? ( They are talking on the
phone.)
What are they talking about? Can you guess?
- Ss: look at the dialogue and listen to the tape.
- T: explains new key points:

+ The future simple tense:
(+): S + will + V
(-): S + will not ( won’t) + V
(?): Will + S + V? Yes, S + will.
No, S + won’t.
- New words: to see a movie: xem phim.
- Would you like to ? : Bắt đầu lời mời một cách lịch
sự.
ex: Would you like to come to my house?
- Where will we ? Hỏi về địa điểm gặp nhau.
- Ss: listen to the tape once again.
- T: calls some Ss to practice reading in pairs.
- T: asks Ss to give the answers.
- T: calls some Ss to give the answers, others remark and
correct.
- T: gives the right answers: a, Phong and Tam.

c, They will meet at 6.45.
d, They will meet in front of the
theater.
- Ss: copy the answers.
* Post- reading :
- T: asks Ss to work in pairs again to make a similar dialoge
about themselves.

- Some pairs perform in front of the class.Others can make any
correction.
4. Consolidation:
- Remind ss the way to use the Future simple tense
5. Homework:
- Do the given Ex in the workbook.
- Prepare the next lesson: A5
