Lesson 5: B. Names and addresses (6).


I. Objectives:
-The students will continue to practice asking and answering
about distances.
-Practice listening and speaking skills.
II. Preparation.
- Material: Textbook, pictures.
- Equipments: tape, cassette.
III.Teaching process:

2.Oral test: Two Ss write about these people:
S1: Hoa-13 years old,16 Le Loi street,2 km-
bike.
S2: Hung –15 years old,23 Tran phu
street,500m-walking.
3.New lesson:
A. Warm up :
- T: asks Ss some questions about themselves.
EX: What’s your name?
How old are you?
Where do you live?
How far is it from your house to school?
How do you go to school?
- T: remarks and gives marks.
B. Presentation:
B6. Listen and write.
How far is it ? Write the four distances.
*Pre listening


- T: introduces the situation of the lesson :Lan and Hoa are
talking about distances.
- T: asks Ss to look at the picture in part 6.
- Ss call the names of the places.
- T: draws on the board.

-T: checks instructions:What are you going to do ?
+ listen to the tape?( yes)
+write sentences?(No)
+write numbers?(yes)
* While listening:

- T: asks Ss to listen to the tape then find out the distance
between the places.
- T: plays the tape for Ss 2 times.
- Ss exchange the result with the partner.
- T: calls on some Ss to give the results in front of the class.
- T: plays the tape again for Ss to check their answers.
- T: corrects and gives the correct answers:
a. School to Lan’s house : 300m
b. Lan’s house to the post offfice : 700m
c. School to the movie theater : 3km
d. Movie theater to the post office : 2km
- Ss practice asking and answering the distance between the
places.
- T: corrects the mistake.
* Post - listening: A survey:
- T: asks Ss to look at the form in part 7.
- T: introduces the aim of this part: Ask their classmates some
information then fill in the form.
- Ss gives the questions for the information.
- T: makes model with a student:
+ What’s your name?
+ Where do you live?
+ How do you go to school?
+ How far is it from your house to school?
- Ss work in pairs.
- T: calls on some pairs to practice in front of the class.
4. Consolidation;
- Ask Ss to base on the information and write a short passage
about their partner.
EX: My friend is…… He/She lives at………

He/ She goes to school by………It’s about……
from……….to……
- T: calls on one student to go to the board and write, some Ss
read aloud.
- T: corrects the mistakes if necessary.
* Remember:
- T: asks Ss to look at the remember and practice in pairs, using
the questions in the box.
- T: calls on some pairs to practice in front of the class.
- T: corrects if necessary.
5. Homework:
- Write part 6 in the exercisebook.
- Make questions and answers in part remember.
- Prepare unit 2- A1,2.
