Ex 1: A: Honey, I’m hungry.
B: Ok, I will cook something for you.
→ Will expresses an intention or decision made at
the moment of speaking.
Ex 2: A: All dishes are dirty.
B: Yes, I know. I am going to wash them
later.
→ Be going to is used to say what we have decided
to do (but not arranged).
