Position:
- in front of normal verb.
- between an auxiliary verb and the main verb.
- after the verb “to be”.
- at the beginning of a sentence (as a rule, usually,
sometimes)
- at the end of a sentence (usually, sometimes, once a
month, every day)

note:
- we always put the adverb “as a rule” at the beginning of a
sentence
- these following adverbs can’t be used in negative form: never,
seldom, hardly ever, rarely…
