Chú ý: Từ "sẽ" ngoài việc dùng cấu trúc trên đây, chúng ta cần nhớ đến Công thức:
[S + be + going to do (V) + O] (To be going to do smt )
Dùng cấu trúc này, khi chúng ta muốn nói hành động nào đó đã được dự định, lên kế
hoạch thực hiện. Vì vậy có lúc người ta gọi đó là "Thời tương lai gần"
Ví dụ: I am going to visit Ho Chi Minh city next Monday.
Lan is going to take the final exams this summer.
Lúc đó cấu trúc trên sẽ tương tự như: [S + be + V-ing (+ O)] (To be doing smt )
và nghĩa cũng tương tự "sẽ" có dự định, lên kế hoạch thực hiện.
Ví dụ: I am doing my homework tonight.
Lan is going out with her boyfriend to the cinema tonight.

- Hạn chế sử dụng: going to go/ going to come mà dùng going to
Ví dụ: I am going to the cinema tonight.

Minh lives in a lovely apartmentin HCM City. His apart isn’t very big but it is very

kitchen and a bathroom. The bathroom is very beautiful. It has a sink, a tub & a
shower. The kitchenis very morden. There is everything in the kitchen : refrigerator,
washing machine, dishwasher, gas cooker, electric stove, oven, kitchen table
Minh’s bedroom is not large, but it is very bright. There’s a wonderful view from
his bedroom. M really likes his apartment very much.

Short Adj (be) + Adj-ER+ than (be)+more+Adj + than

2.Presentation .
Revision :
The present progressive tense.
a. Ask Ss to repeat the use, form & give exp :
+ Use : Express an action happening at the moment
+ Form : S + am/is/are + V-ing
- It’s often used with Adv : now, at the moment, at present,
at this time or correct time.
Eg : + I’m learning English now
+ They are cooking dinner at the moment/at present
+ It’s 8 o’clock in the morning. We are staying at home. I am reading a picture

book and my friend is playing computer game.
• Note : Adding ING after Vs:
a) Most of Vs, we only add ING after them :
Eg : sleep – sleeping ; go – going ; wait - waiting
speak - speaking
b) Vs end by ‘e’, we rub out ‘e’ before adding ING :
Eg: love – loving ; drive – driving ; write - writing take – taking.
Except: ageing (giµ ®i); dyeing (nhuém); singeing (lµm ch¸y sÐm)
But Vs end by ‘ee’, we keep themselves :
see – seeing ; free – freeing; agreeing
c) Some Vs , we must double the end before adding ING :
Eg : stop – stopping ; run – running; putting; rubbing.
Some Vs with 2 syllables and stress on the second syllable:
Eg: ad’mitting, be’ginning, pre’ferring
But: ‘happening, ‘visiting, ‘entering, ‘budgeting.
d) Some Vs ending ie > y then add “ing”:
Eg: to lie > lying; to die > dying; to tie > tying
Review the form of the present simple tense.
