1.Warm up:
• Teacher: - Greet class.
- Introduce name : using “Hello.I’m + name”
- Introduce new subject.
• Pupils: - Greet teacher.
2.New lesson:
*PRESENTATION.
Activity 1 : Look,listen and repeat.
• Teacher:- Have pupils turn their book page 6.
- Ask pupils the names of the characters and what they say.
- Explain the difference between Hi and Hello.
+ Hi is very formal. Pupils can use with friends but not withan adult,e.g. a
teacher.
+ Hello is also informal and friendly but more formal than Hi. It can be used
with teachers and other adults.
- Show the picture and elecit the characters in the picture an what they are
saying.
- Let pupls listen and repeat the new words, sentences after the teacher.

- Ask pupils to write down.
- Call some pupils to read the new words, sentences before te class.
• Pupils:- Look at the pictures and listen.
- Listen carefully and repeat. Write down. Read aloud.
*PRACTICE.
Activity 2 : Point and say.
• Teacher:- Have pupils look at the pictures. Ask them to identify the characters
in the pictures.
- Ask pupils repeat the phrases a few times.
- Call on a pair and ask them to pretend to be Nam and Mai to act out the
greeting exchange.

Mai and Quan. Check pronunciation.
- Have the whole class repeat all the phrases in chorus to reinforce their
