I don’t have to worry about asking my parent:“You guys want to pay for a trip to
the USA for me, don’t you?”, of course!. With the magic carpet in my hand, I can
travel to anywhere I want, especially the city of my dream- “New York state of
mine”.
New York is well-known as the city of wonders. We can find plenty of wonderful
man-made building there. Their shapes and sizes were magnificent. Some was
like a checkerboard, other like a lipstick. Because New York City is the largest
world's market, most the corporation headquarters are located in this city.
However, the signature place of NYC must be the Empire State Building. The
building was my wish list to see because its great show in the King Kong movie
that I have never forgotten. I was stunned with its height, reaching the sky. The
top of the skyscraper is an enormous spire like a huge needle.
Another attraction of New York City is the restaurants. I could not control my
stomach when I see them on the TV. When I land of NYC, I want to try a big big
plate of grill corn and green onion, a huge piece of steak with smash potato and
a little bit sweet BBQ sauce. There were more than a hundred of restaurants
within a block and many of different kinds of Kabob stands along the way. NYC is
also a heaven of street food. The food cuisine in NY is the mixture of something
Asia, Italia and a little bit of Mexico. You can find a lot of tasty food around NY

such as: arepas, calzones, Chinese kebabs, churros fried chicken, corndogs,
hamburgers, New York-style pizza,….
In addition, the entertainment is one of the main parts of New York City. New York
City is a center for the television, film, advertising, music, newspaper, and book


publishing industries and is also the largest media market in North America. Big
screens, music, people are everywhere, just like they are having a parade every
single day. Being in NY also bring me a chance to meet all of my favorite stars
like Hugh Jackman, Cameron Diaz, Lady Gaga,…..
Ok, I think I better prepare a camera to take some pictures for my amazing trip
ahead and some warm clothes because NY may quite shivery this time!

Travelling has always been a hotly-debated topic. There is appeared
endless discussion over the imagination that choosing a city to visit by Aladdin’s
carpet. Some people show great interest in cities of America, personally, I hold
strong believe in advantages of visiting Seoul, Korea. There appear numerous
reasons explaining for my choice. My writing will critically will present typical
causes.
At the first analysis, what I put on my priority is personal refreshment. The
fact is that I am really fascinate with Korea’s weather. White winter with snow,
yellow autumn with leaf on the road, shining summer and lovely spring with
blooming flowers make Korea so amazing. More interestingly, I never have seen
snow before. As the result, I wish to tough snowflake and feel its melting. I also
like making snowman with my friends and having snow war with them. In deed, I
strongly believe that going to Seoul would give me a very great time.
Second of all, major preparation holds no less important role. Obviously, if I
had chance to visit Korea by Aladdin’s carpet, I would consequently have chance

to visit Mathematics faculty of KAIST, the university that I will apply for my
graduate study. By this opportunity, I would discuss more about my interest
research with professors there who will decide whether or not I can join the
graduate program. More importantly, having a talk with professors in my field
brings me knowledge, experience and advice as well to conduct my research. By
and large, future preparation proves the important of my selection.
Last but not at least, relationship enhancement draws much of my
consideration. It is clearly seen that people have friends around the world and
they will definitely visit them if they have chance. I am also not an exception. My
best friend now is working in Seoul and I have not meet him for 2 years. We miss
each other and really want to meet again. Without doubt, Seoul would be my
destination with Aladdin’s carpet since it could help improve my friendship.
In short, I would be in favor of choosing Seoul, Korea to visit if I had
Aladdin’s carpet. The personal refreshment, major preparation as well as
relationship enhancement greatly convince me for my choice. I strongly believe
that people will agree with me after consider the mentioned above reasons.

To my dearest friend,
It was a coincidence that I had a weird dream last night. After I went to bed for a
while, I was suddenly awakened by a gust of wind, then I realized I was lying on
a flying carpet!
Afterwards, I was flying until I saw a city underneath. It looked vividly as if I could
not believe by my own eyes. And can you guess what? That city was PARIS! I
knew it because I was on the Anatole Avenue, and the Eiffel Tower was there.
Did I tell you that Paris has been always my dream city?
It said that the world would be a paradise if all the polices are English, chefs are
French, mechanists are German, lovers are Italian and everything is hold by

Swiss. Thus, I wish I could try all dishes from Paris, the most famous city of food
and drink.
I was walking along many streets and saw many restaurants, coffee shops,
grocery stores…It seemed that I was in Paris in the morning, as I could see there
were some French enjoying their cups of espresso with a baguette. I also went to
Rue de Seine and Rue de Guci Roads, which are in the north of the city, with
many famous local restaurants that I once saw them on newspaper. The first
thing I saw there was a food stall that I have never ever seen anywhere except
Vietnam. The baguette here is not so different from the one we eat every day.
Beside the main ingredients such as sliced bacon, salad…, people do not add
seasonings like pepper or chilli sauce, they add a little bit of white sauce, which I
believed it is kind of mayonnaise and ketchup.
Coming up to the sky market, I was strongly impressed by those seafood stalls,
gathering with many kinds of fresh fishes, tubby lobsters, big crabs, scallops,
rough oysters , giant dried cuttlefishes… It did seem to be a huge party of
seafood.
Following with the dream, I remembered that I had sightseeing around Paris, with
a plenty of amazing scenes. I have heard that Paris is the city of light, city of
famous world fashion brands and many splendid fashion weeks… Yet, in my
dream, Paris carried a different look. It is the natural beauty of peaceful Seine,
small parks, and lines of trees lying down along the roads. In additional, Paris


was also being peaceful in my eyes with few people on the old streets, squares
and antique bookstores. Especially, houses in Paris little streets had similar
features to those in Vietnam. They are very close to each other, and some are
decorated with red old bricks. Then I stopped by the top of Eiffel Tower to watch
the city through glasses. I also walked between crowds of people and listened to
the trumpet of street artists. All of these are still so real in my memories that I
could easily draw them on paper.

Paris appeared in front of my eyes so lively and attractively. With the wonderful
magic carpet, I could visit many places, taste many delicious dishes and talk with
many French people. Everything happened in dream was the motivation to me to
plan a journey to this city. If I had a wish, I would like to have that magic carpet,
as the one of Aladdin, and choose Paris as my only destination. Of course what
is real is real, I would instead start saving lots of money and putting them for the
exciting journey to Paris.

If I had a magic carpet as the one of Aladdin, Da Nang would be my
destination because it is a famous city with many nice natural landscape, it is a
part of my country and now Da Nang is applying a new model city from
Singapore with 4 criterions: an accessible city, a business city, an attractive city
and a city for living. I want to discover and observe it, let see together.
The first, Da Nang will be an accessible city. Not like Ha Noi and Ho Chi
Minh city, Da Nang focus on over bridges through Han river in direction to East
sea. They also plan to spread out the transportation system, balance among
building, job and pubic department to prevent traffic jam in city and even some
provinces around city. Da Nang do not want to make itself only become the
accessible city but also a business city. Because Da Nang is located near sea
and has the high rate growth. It also keeps the important role in transportation
and telecommunication in region, nation and international. Therefore, with these
conditions it would encourage, stimulate all the trade activities more excited and
prosperous. By itself, it have many famous places to visit like Son Tra-Hoi An,
Hai Van mountain pass, Lai Hien Dong village. In addition, Da Nang will be more

an attractive city when they complete the project green city(green tree –blue sea)
with many seaside resorts, resorts, natural park entertainment garden. In the
near future, it should be the leisure, tourist, cultural, science and technological
city in the mid of Vietnam. The last one, A city for living, they will balance
between human life with the nature by planning the various and good quality
building near garden, public park to enjoy nature. This combination also apply for
school and hospital.
In conclusion, Da Nang city has many advantages which other cities do not
have such as beautiful natural landscape, fresh air condition, nice architecture.
Now, they are applying the “model city” from Singapore with 4 criterions which
are an accessible city, a business city, an attractive city and a city for living . It
really attract me to visit because I can enjoy with the life there, can compare
something with my province, Ha Noi city to see difference between difference
regions and the most important for me is to see the positive changing of Da Nang
city when they apply the new model. It is so wonderful.

I have a dream, a dream of New York. If I have magic carpet as the one of
Aladdin , I could imagine New York under me. New York - Big Apple, it so beauty
and eventful both day and night. New York, it is had statue of liberty , center park,
wall street,…where you can find nearly most things around the word.
I have a dream, that is New York , my neverland . Although I know a little
thing of Big Apple - daily life, people, hopeful, I always thirst put my foot on here.
I feel that America is dream of my generation. US, country of liberty, success,
development, in my eye, is the land of brave people who leave port native
country to change waste land into cultivated areas. I hope to touch this dream.
Nobody have to disagree that New York is one of the name to called most of both
America and Earth.

I have a dream, that is I am the part of life on daily basis in New York. The
way people live, they work, and they become successful, I want to feel and
understand. I will answer the question why Big Apple is the one of the leader city
of economic, why it is outstanding.
I have a dream, I can understand the development of New York. Could
Vietnam build some modern city like New York ? I hope that I am one person of
the group to make this.

If i had a magic carpet as the one of Aladdin, I would be pleasure to be in Paris ,
the capital of france. The French capital is a real masterpiece. Situated among
the beautiful landscapes of the valley of the River Seine, the city represents a
unique combination of magnificent architecture, beautiful scenery and the most
pleasant and mildest temperate climate, you have ever seen. The local culture is
emblematic. It has led not one and two poets, singers and writers to use the city
as an inspiration in its works.For me, a very romantic men, it is such a miracle
paradise. Paris is situated in a vast plain of northern France and western Europe
about 140 km from the Atlantic Ocean. The different parts of Paris have a
different altitude, but it generally ranges from 70 to 100 meters. The deep
navigable river Seine passes through the territory of the city, meandering
capriciously, paving its way to the Atlantic.Paris is famous for the Eiffel tower, the
great idea of a French Paris architect. It is a symbol of the European culture. It
represents the European genius and achievements. It is the most
famous structure in the world that has visited by more than 200 000 000 people.
It was built for the World Exhibition in 1889. With its height of 324 meters, the
tower was the highest building in the world befor 1930, i.e. whole 41 years. In
1940 Paris was occupied by Nazi Germany and Adolf Hitler, who has heard many
times about the beauty of the tower, asked to see it. Arriving, he wanted to get on
the top, but the Frenchmen was relentles to the end and they cut the cables of

the elevator and he was forced to climb to the top if he wants to see Paris from
above. It is quite enough to mention that the city skyline of this cosmopolitan
metropolis begins to fade gradually until completely blur somewhere on the
horizon. The outskirts of Paris have relatively flat relief, so if you want to really
enjoy the beautiful view it is better to decline of the unsuccessful attempts to find
a suburban hill and simply to take up the Eifel tower. Paris has the most
wonderful temperate climate generated by various factors such as latitude,
distance from the Atlantic Ocean, altitude and so on. Overall, the climate is
oceanic, but the fact that the city is situated far away of the ocean coast is also
an important factor.The weather is quite good there. There are four seasons winter, spring, summer and autumn, which gently and seamlessly blend into one
another. The winters are mild and rainy with daytime temperatures of around 7°C
in January. The snowfalls are rare. Usually the precipitations are of rain. The
spring in Paris is amazing. It is difficult to imagine something more romantic than


walking along the Seine River, when the trees begin to bloom and virescent.
During this season, the daily temperatures are moving in the range 15 - 22°C.
The summer is warm and sunny. The maximum of the temperature is in August
when the average daily temperature is 25°C. The weather is not as cool as in
London, but it is also not as hot as the weather in the Mediterranean. The
autumn is variable and cool, but not cold. The temperatures are mostly between
10 and 20°C. In September, the weather is still very nice and some days are over
20°C but the temperatures usually fall quickly and in the mid-December the daily
average are around 8°C.Otherwises, there is one more favorite thing about
Paris :many people all around the world are attracted by Paris. Some people
come here to teach and others - to work. There are people, who come to Paris
just to unlock their creative inspiration - musicians, artists, actors and as a whole
- artists. Here you can meet many immigrants, who have arrived here from
current and former French possessions from all over the world, including Africa ,
the Caribbean, South Pacific and others. It should be noted that Paris is one of

very few places in the world where the English is absolutely not enough if you've
decided to live permanently in the country. If you do not speak French language,
the people can be tolerant only if you're a tourist. In all other situations will be
extremely difficult to deal with the everyday situations. The French capital will
enchant you with its magic through all four seasons. Here, the life is vibrant 12
months a year. The mild temperate climate allows the city to visit all year round
without being too warm or cold. However, from May to August you can enjoy the
great time and these are the months during which Paris is the most attractive and
romantic - when it is blooms, it is all covered with fresh greenery and the gardens
are covered with gorgeous flowers. If you planned to travel to Paris in May, the
light spring clothes are most appropriate. For June, July and August - summer
clothes, but just in case you can take something warmer, as sometimes can fall
rains that make the weather to be cool even in the summer heat.

would be your destination?
---------Many people cannot afford to visit a foreign country, because either they have no
time or they have no money. Fortunately, if you had a magic carpet as the one of
Aladdin, what city in the world would be your destination? The first choice comes
into my mind is Moscow. There are numerous reasons why I choose to visit
Moscow and there could be some following reasons.
First of all, Moscow is the capital of Russia and the most populous member of
Russian Federation. The city is a political, economic, cultural, scientific and
transportation center in Russia and Europe. Moscow is situated on the bank of
Moskva river in the Central Federal District of European Russia. A city with a long
history and cherished tradition which was built in the mid-12th century, in 1147,
and is more than 800 years old. Moscow is one of the world's largest cities and it
is the largest city in Europe, known as "the third Rome" in old times.

Secondly, for several centuries, Moscow has played an important role in Russian
political and cultural center. It is a home of historic buildings and monuments
which are considered as commemorative significances, for example, the Moscow
Kremlin, the Ensemble of the Novodevichy Convent, Moscow State University,
the Arc Moscow, the Victory Park on the Holy Mountain and other important sites.
Besides, as you know, the Russian nesting doll (matryoshka doll) is a popular toy
to all the people in the world because it reminds us to go ahead under no
circumstance. When I was a child, I often listened to my grandmother’s Russian
stories. The stories are about the witch, the rabbit, the house on chicken legs,
etc. It’s so interesting and amazing. I often think of a day I could go to Russia
then I could be invited a piece of black bread, sip a cup of weak tea and enjoy
the Russian traditional dance. It would be so nice! The Russian people are very
warmly and friendly. We feel like at home when we are in Russia because of their
attitude to foreigners. Their hospitality is amazing, and once they get to know
you, a loyaler friend you won't find.
In addition, it is arbitrary to judge the best choice is visiting Moscow according to
the excuse as I mentioned above. Over those years, people here have


developed considerable skills, and built lots of great sites. The antique city with
old buildings makes us feel relaxed, however, there have been so many changes
in recent years due to the fact that the society is becoming more and more
dynamic. More and more young people are involved in business so they become
richer and richer. Therefore, some people are anxious about the risk of losing
traditional values and a big gap between the rich and the poor.
What is more, the Russian Federation has opened itself more broadly to the
outside world in the recent years. The Russians would like to get more
information about other countries, and they are also eager to share their
experience with foreigners. As a result, you can acquire some necessary
information when you visit Moscow.

As for me, Moscow is my favourite. I could visit the great architectures and enjoy
the beautiful scene. Taking into account all these factors, we may reach the
conclusion that when you have the opportunity to visit a foreign city, Moscow is
the best choice. Moscow would be a ideal destination to enjoy our life. I wish I
could go there in a day coming.

If the carpet of Aladdin was real and I had it I would immediately fly to Paris, I
would sit on the top of Eiffel tower to watch the city and wait until the sun leaves
and the moon reigns the sky because I want to see Paris – the city of light and
love.
Paris – City Of Light, a name it owns to its early adoption of street lighting. The
street lamps of Paris give the 19th century flavor to the city that makes it so
romantic. But the beauties of Paris at night are about not only street lamps but
also the light which is used to decorate all the magnificent architectural works of
Paris. And the first thing will go straight to your eyes is Eiffel Tower – the symbol
of Paris – which I am sitting on the top of right now. You can see the Eiffel Tower
radiates her sparkling majesty all over the city and keeps her lofty position high
from the ground. You will feel the romance in the air when you sip champagne on
her very top. Another way to admire the light of Paris is through water. When you
walk along the banks of Seine River, you will see the mysterious light of Lover’s
Bridge reflecting on the river surface. And it will be much more enjoyable if you
take a tour along Seine by boat.
Paris – Citadel Of Love, the city is also famous for its romantic atmosphere on
every corner of the street. Paris brings love in every breath of hers. You can see
love in every antique architectures and lovebirds on the street. You can hear love
through the sound of the city, of the bell tower of the Notre Dame. You can taste

love with plenty kind of food, especially chocolate. Even when you are a loner in
your heart, you can’t deny the warm feeling that Paris gives to you. You have to
go to Paris and enjoy the city with your loved one, and you will understand why it
is called Citadel Of Love.
That is why I would go to Paris right away if I had a magic carpet of Aladdin. With
all her charming and splendid beauties, I will beg to be her slave.

Since the dawn of humanity, thousands of cities have been built with wonderful
design of human. They emblematize our strong social desires to create long-lived
masterpieces. Rome, Vienna, Paris and Toronto have been just a few examples
of brilliant artistry and imagination of humankind. But there are many plans in
which people’s dreams for better, more efficient, and more fantastic cities have
not ever come true. The Minnesota City – a marvelous ideal is such example and
we will never visit it, therefore, if I have a magic carpet, I will wish I can come to
that city.
The Minnesota City was an ideal in the 1960s. The first thing I like is that the
sources of energy would be supplied in the city. This city would have used
renewable energy sources such as solar energy, wind energy and bio-fuel. It also
would have recycled city waste to new products as well as energy. Transportation
would have been power by hydrogen fuel cells in order to cut down on carbon
dioxide emissions. As a result, the residents in this city could use energy more
with low price and never worry about energy crisis in the world, I think it really
awesome.
Secondly, the weather in the city could be controlled. The city would be covered
by geodesic dome which made it completely climate controlled. Snow storm,

drought, flood and other disasters would never happen in this city. If you think
that the dome could make people feel uncomfortable, don’t worry about that.
Large and transparent windows would give people the sense of openness but
would not damage the climate-controlling properties of the dome. Thanks to this
design, the resident would not be afraid of climate change, and always have cool
weather.
Finally, the most interesting thing in this city was that there would be no schools.
Instead, authorities would consider that everyone is a teacher as well as a
student. They would believe that schools only teach academic things and
students could not know what is going on in the real world. Therefore, in this city,
education must takes place through social interactions, observation, and joining
groups and clubs among other things.


It is so regret that the fabulous city like this could not be built successfully
because of some failures of its plan. However, technology and science have
developed day by day. I strongly believe that people will make this plan to be real
in the near future. And at this time, I will not need the magic carpet coming to this
city anymore; everything I need be just money for fight ticket.

Human always have a lot of ambitions. Fairy tale was created to satisfy all
the aspiration of us as master of all things, the ability to be immortal or to know
everything in the world… Discover new lands, experience the amazing of life is
also my big dream although it is unlikely. Fortunately, I was given a magic carpet
by Alladin from a fairy world which can take me to anywhere I want. Although
there were many beautiful places, I decided to choose Paris - the “City of Light”
which has wonderful architecture, good sweet food and splendid performance of
light. Wow! It was memorable trip and I am going to tell you right now.

My adventure started in Hanoi. After nearly 9200km flying in the sky, I
finally get to Paris in the afternoon. “Magic carpet! Let’s take me to the Eiffel
tower first”. Eiffel tower, a symbol for the school of architecture in France, stands
next to Seine river and is located on the Champ de Mars. Standing on the top
320m high of this 123 years old steel block, I can enjoy the fresh air and see the
panoramic magnificent view of city. In the center, the Arc de Triomphe, one of the
most famous monuments in Paris, appeared with crowed broad road is called
Champs-Élysées. The road is 120m wide, 1800m length with 10 lanes, two sides
have two rows of very tall old trees. This legendary road welcomed Napoleon
Bonaparte came back to Paris after the victory. In the middle of the Seine river is
Notre dame de Paris, one of the most prominent examples of Gothic architecture
in both France and Europe in the 12th century. Because of viewing Paris, I did
not realize that the sunset came.
“Magic carpet! Let’s take me to the most famous place sold France cake”.
After less than 1 minute, I came to Laduree Café to enjoy Macaron sweet cake
-“the soul of Paris”-with very high refined recipes, the French made a very nice,
delicious cake served with a cup of hot chocolate. I was eating while seeing
people came back home after the hard working day. This was an exciting feeling.
My dessert was a cool ice cream made from fresh fruits. Paris is exactly the great
place to enjoy life. 7pm and the “City of light” appeared in front of my eye. Paris
as wearing light up with many color. The Champs-Élysées became a yellow giant
carpet with thousands vehicle, the Eiffel tower change the light color after every
30 minutes. The music along with dancers made the street more vibrant. Paris
became a wonderful night paradise with light and music.
“ It’s time to go home, master!”, a magic carpet said. A night with Paris
passed quickly. I did not have much time to see my dream city anymore. A carpet


brought me up to the sky until Paris became a light dot in the dark. “Au revoir ”good bye Paris. “Magic Carpet! Bring me to home now. I have many interesting
things to tell with my friends”. The alarm clock rings at 6 o’clock, it’s time to get

up to prepare a new day. I get up with the smile because I have had a very nice
dream!!!
