I. AIM :
Students are able to

- Use conditional sentences type2 correctly to solve applying exercises.

1. We can use could in the if-clause to express an ability (however,
the ability is unreal in the present)
E.g: If I could speak French, I would apply for a job in a French
company.
2. Inversion in conditional sentences type 2
E.g: If I were rich, I’d help the poor (= Were I rich, I’d help the
poor.)
3. Unless = if…not….
E.g: If he doesn’t work hard, he can’t earn enough money for his
living. = Unless he works hard, he can’t earn enough money for his
living.
If you didn’t smoke too much, your cough wouldn’t get serious. =
Unless you smoked too much, your cough wouldn’t get serious.
