Teacher asks students the dialogue again, discusses
in groups to answers the questions. Teacher explains
“what’s wrong with Minh?” (It has the same
meaning as (what’s the matter?  setting a situation

to show meaning).

Warm up

Asks students to use the following questions to retell
about Minh:
1. What’s the matter with Minh?
2. Where did he go?
3. What did the dentist do?
4. Is the cavity not serious? Why?
5. How does he feel now?
Teacher lets students observe the picture a) and the

 Teacher introduces structure of asking and
answering about cause: using a situation: look at

cause of his toothache? You can ask “why” and
answers with “because”

Asks students to look at pictures and example on
page 106 to write poster for each.
