How to
Use
This board game can be used in a variety of ways. Here are some:
•

Practise Present Simple with frequency adverbs or similar
expressions.
o I often play football.
o I go swimming once a week.

•

Practise Past Simple (if you want, you can have students add a
time marker).
o I played football yesterday.
o I brought a present.

•

Practise Present Perfect (you could ask students to add an
adverb where appropriate).
o I’ve never seen a ghost.
o I’ve twisted my ankle.

•

Practise Future with Going to or Present Continuous..
o I’m going to pay my bills this afternoon.
o I’m going swimming tomorrow.

•

Practise sentence building – speaking or writing. Students make
a correct sentence using the words given (any verb tense
allowed).
o I had lunch with friends yesterday.
o I broke my leg when playing football.
o I hardly ever drink tea because I prefer coffee.
o I’m sitting in my chair.

I’m pretty sure creative teachers can even think of more ways to use
