- Có một số động từ tận cùng bằng
“e” câm , ta phải bỏ “e” này đi trước

khi them “ing” vào sau động.
Ví dụ: to write → writing
to drive → driving
- Đối với một số động từ ta phải gấp
đôi phụ âm cuối trước khi thêm “ing”
vào động từ.
Ví dụ: run → running
begin
→ beginning
- Thì hiện tại tiếp diễn thường được
dùng kèm với các trạng từ “now, right
now, at the moment, at present” để
nhấn mạnh tính chất đang tiến hành
của hành dộng ngay lúc nói.
- Các thể của hiện tại tiếp diễn
Khẳng định: S + am/ is/ are + V-ing
Phủ dịnh: S + am/ is/ are + not + Ving
Nghi vấn: Am/ is/ are + S + V –ing?
Ví dụ: He’s answering the telephone.

tận cùng bằng - ing và có chức năng của một
danh từ. Danh động từ có thể làm chủ từ , tân
ngữ và bổ ngữ.
1.Subject: Danh động từ đợc dùng làm chủ từ
để diễn tả một ý kiến phổ quát ( general or
popular idea).

a) Object of verb( tân ngữ cho động từ): Một
số động từ có động từ theo sau ở dạng danh
động từ nh: enjoy, consider ( xem xét), practise

admid (nhận), delay (hoãn), mind ( quan tâm,
phiền), miss (lỡ, trễ, bỏ qua), can't help (không
thể không), can't bear/stand (không thể chịu đợc),...
Ex. We practise speaking English in class.
b) object of preposition: Động từ theo sau một
giới từ luôn luôn ở dạng danh động từ.

a) stop (ngừng):
Stop + gerund : chỉ ngng việc gì đang làm
