1. Greetings:
Good afternoon, everybody. We are group six. Today, we are going to talk about FPT corporation.
2. Brief about topic:
As you may know, FPT is one of the most popular technology company in Viet Nam. FPT provides many products
and services for comsumers. Let us show you more about FPT corporation.
I would like to invite Ms Mỹ Anh, Hồng and Quỳnh Như to introduce some basic information of FPT corporation.

FPR Corporation’s Name(Mỹ Anh 1min) :
FPT is an abbreviations in English of FPT Corporation (formerly known as Company for Development and
Investment Technology), an economic group in Vietnam with the main business sector is providing services related
to information technology.
FPT affiliate companies are active in software outsourcing,
telecommunications, property, education and financial services.
FPT's full name is: The Corporation for Financing and Promoting Technology. According VNReport this is now the
3rd largest privatization of Vietnam in 2012.

 Internal Users : General meeting of Shareholders is the highest power organ of the company.They elected two

offices that is “The Board of Directors” – the most important management of the whole coporation. The other is
“ The Board of Supervisors”- which control all aspects of operations management and business executive
producer of the Company. Finally, to run the system works the most effectively, they divided into five
following departments :

- Sales Department

- Software Development Division
- Marketing Division

Up to now, FPT has received many reputable awards like :Top 100 provider of global software services "- (International
Association of Outsourcing Professional - Iaop) ,Top 2 The Best Workplace Vietnam - companies category IT Software (according to the survey results of Anphabe and Neilsen Vietnam) ,R & D award
. FPT Software also put target revenue of $ 200 million and 10,000 employees in 2016.Finally,the achievements on the
basis for FPT Software continues to pursue his dream of developing the next stage: Achieve sales of $ 1 billion and tens
of thousands staff.

In 1986, the Sixth Party Congress initiated the Doi Moi Policy encouraging generation of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs.
As a result, FPT was established. On September 13, 1988, the Director of the National Institute of Technology Research
signed a decision to establish The Food Processing Technology Company (FPT's original name) and he appointed
Truong Gia Binh to serve as director
In October 1990, the company was renamed The Corporation for Financing and Promoting Technology (FPT for short).
FPT engaged in computer distribution from the early 90s of the 20th century and quickly became one of the major
distributors in the market. Its core business sectors are IT and telecommunication. In its operations, FPT has strived to
provide clients with optimal technology services, products and solutions. Fifteen years later, FPT has become the No. 1
software exporter in Vietnam in terms of human resources and sales.

You’ve just heard about some basic infor of FPT. Now, Let’s see what are the main products of FPT

There are four sectors in FPT corporation: FPT Technology, FPT Telecommunications, Technology Product
Distribution and Retail, and Education. Let’s look at each of these sectors.

Maintenance.

a. FPT TELECOMMUNICATIONS (Liên: 3 mins)
FPT unceasingly creates and deploys new value-added services on one Internet connection, so telecommunications is
the strongest business sector of FPT corporation. It has many products.
The first one is BROADBAND INTERNET. FPT builds service packages just for individuals and households to meet
their demand for private Internet access, including ADSL, FTTH and VDSL.
The second one is LEASED LINE. This service is provided with an international port at a speed ranging from 256
Kbps to 25 Gbps and is geared for offices and companies that demand the highest service quality.
DATA CENTER is the third product. FPT offers specialized servers, rack and server space, connections from servers to

the Internet environment and direct, private connections to clients’ offices via an intranet environment.
The next product is BROADCAST SERVICES. With the motto “All services on one connection”, FPT provides special
entertainment services to Internet subscribers which include the interactive television service of - OneTV ;
and FPT Play HD decoder - HD box.
Finally, one of telecommunications’s product is online services. This service has many website which be very useful,
such as: online media, sendo.vn, Fshare, etc.
b. TECHNOLOGY PRODUCT DISTRIBUTION AND RETAIL (Quyên 2 mins)
FPT collaborates with the world's biggest technology firms to provide Vietnamese consumers access to the most
advanced technology products or solutions. We sell:
1. LAPTOPS: Products under 8 brand names: Apple, Acer, Toshiba, HP, Asus, Dell, Lenovo and Sony.
2. TABLETS: Products under 12 brand names: Apple, Acer, AINOL, Samsung, Asus, ProTab, HP, Lenovo,

4. LEADERSHIP(Bùi Quyên 5 mins)

As you all know, FPT is one company that specializes in many different fields, so its organizational structure is also
extremely complex. To speak out about the organizational structure of FPT in 1 class is impossible. Therefore, I will
present organizational structure of one particular sector in FPT's business so that we can understand one part of FPT
engines work.
First, we will learn about the operational mechanism of "FPT Telecom".

You can see the organizational chart of the "FPT Telecom". The highest leading body of the company is the "General
Meeting of Shareholders". The top leader of the "General Meeting of Shareholders" is the Chairman of the Board. The
working process of the "General Meeting of Shareholders" are controlled by the Control Board.The Chairman of the
board will manage the subsidiaries, and the operating and decision-making for the entire machine work of the company.
Particularly with "FPT Telecom" has two major branches in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, in addition to many other
subsidiaries in many areas.
On Board Function, it has many centers and departments, each department or center perform one specific task. Here,
we can see, "FPT Telecom" have Human Resources, Accountant, Audit, Communication, R&D and some other centers.
After I presented preliminary definition of the organizational structure of FPT, we can understand how the FPT
activities, right?
And now will go deeper into the Board of FPT Corporation. This will help us to know who isthe leader and executive

FPT Group.
The first one I would recommend to everyone, that's who established FPT, he is Mr.Truong Gia Binh the chairman of
FPT Group.

The next one I would recommend that you about Mr.Bui Quang Ngoc, Vice chairman, Mr. Do Cao Bao, Member of the
Board of Directors - Vice General Director, who contribute good management and development company FPT
In addition, there are also board member: Mr. Bui Quang Ngoc - CEO, Mr. Nguyen The Phuong – CFO, Mr.Le Hong
Viet – CTO, etc.
To have a continuous development company, besides having talented leaders must have good employees. Indeed, FPT
has a lot of good managers.
They are people who work in large companies, there is a lot of experience and has helped FPT increasingly developed
As I also said, FPT is one fairly large company. Telling about the organizational structure of FPT clearly is extremely
difficult, so I hope that part of my brief presentation will help you understand a little about the organizational structure
of the company FPT.

5. PROJECT(Trúc 5mins):

Creating a common Cloud-based Developer Portal and Application Repository for STA.

Surpassing 10 technology giants from the UK, South Korea, the U.S. and Japan, FPT became the first Vietnamese
enterprise to win a contract to provide cloud-based services for Smart TV Alliance (STA).
Client information
The Smart TV Alliance Inc. was founded by LG Electronics, TP Vision and Toshiba in 2012 to create attractive,
platform-independent services for Smart TV applications.
Project goals
Creating a common Cloud-based Developer Portal and Application store for app developers in the world, opening a
new era of smart TV.
Solution provided by FPT
Provide an all-in package, including professional advice on product concept, design, maintenance, support and
operation.
In general, the project was divided in three phases:
• Phase 1: Develop demo version;
• Phase 2: Develop final version;
• Phase 3: Rollout system on Cloud and Maintenance
FPT use cloud technology to develop and deploy the Support Portal for smart TV application developers. They also
provide annual support services to developers; have apps undergo a common QA process before pulling them to publish
on their own stores.
Client feedback and satisfaction
According to STA, FPT was chosen because of its professional presentation skills, providing full information required
for the project and demonstrating its experience and professional capacity as well as willingness to meet all
requirements.
