Warm – up:
Brainstorming
- ask Ss to make a list of what has been
developed or improved thanks to economic
reforms.
Pre – speaking
1. Gouping
- ask Ss to work in groups to study the phrases
about transportation carefully and group them in
correct column.
- make sure that Sts know all the meaning of the
words in the Task.


- go around the class to check and offer help.
- call on some groups to present their answers.
- check the answers and give the feedback.

Activity 1: Discussion
Now work in groups to discuss the changes of
trasportation in Vietnam and give comments
about them.
- ask Ss to work in groups and give comments
using information and structures in Pre -
speaking.
- go around the class to check and offer help if
necessary, collect some common mistakes for
later correction
.
Model:
A: What has been changed in transportation in
your country?

B: I think that there are more and more modern
kinds of transportations, such as: motorbikes,
cars, air planes, trains…
C: I agree with you, but I think It is the sourse
that causes polution.

Activity 2: Reportation
- call on some representatives to report their
comments about the changes of transportation
- call on some others to give their comments
- give feedback.
Model:
The transportation has been changed a lot. As
we can see, there are many kinds of
transportation, we can travel easily because the
quality of road and vehicle system is very good…
Post – speaking
- ask Sts to write a short paragraph about what
they have discussed the changes of transportation.
- work in pairs to discuss and give comments
about the changes of transportation.( using the
information and structures in Pre- speaking)
- report the comments of their group.
Comments: summarizes the main points of the lesson.
Homework:
- write a short paragraph about changes of
transportation in your town.
