1, Warm up:
Getting started : Brainstorming

Pre teach:
enroll (v):đăng kí vào học
fill out (v):điền( vào mẫu đơn)
sign (v):kí tên
an application form (n): mẫu đơn xin việc
an interest (n): mối quan tâm, sở thích
handicapped (a): lang thang cơ nhỡ
Presentation dialogue:
Set the scence with some question :
+ Listen and find out whos talking with whom
+ What does Nga want to do?
+ What does the secretary ask Nga to do ?

-Let ss listen to the tape and follow the dialogue
-Dialogue build ; T prepares the dialogue with some gaps on a poster, ss look at the
poster, listen and repeat, then fill in the gaps ( focus on the new words)

-Let ss practice the dialogue with their partners
-Let ss and answer compreehension questions, then complete Nga’ s details

1, Warm up: Revision:
Brainstorming
Ways to ask for and respond to favors
Ways to offer assistance and to respond to assistance (then compare with the
phrases P.55)
2, Pre speaking :
Let ss practice the dialogues on p.55-56 unil they can remember them by heart
using ‘Rub out and Rememeber’ or ‘ Dialogue Build’
3, While speaking
Let ss use the appropriate phrases in the box (P. 56) to make similar dialogue about
some of the situations using Mapped Dialogue

Listening to a song for details
II, TEACHING AIDS:
-A song +tape
-Books
III, PROCEDURE:
1,Warm up:
Game :Bingo (elicit the words ss learnt in this unit and writes them on the board.
Ss choose 3 out of them and write them down
E.g : enrol fill out an application form
sign flat tire outdoor activities
sex participate handicapped
2, Pre- listening
Pre teach
