I. Objectives:
By the end of the lesson Ps will be able to ask and answer questions about
what people do at a festival, using What do you do at/on + (festival)? -->

- Vocabulary: decorate the house, make Banh Chung, buy food and drink,
visit grandparents, watch firework display, buy flowers

III. Procedures
A. MAIN ACTIVITY
Warm up
- Spend a few minutes revising the previous lesson by calling some
pupils to the front of the class to sing Happy New Year! The class may
sing the song together and clap hands or do actions.
1. Look , listen and repeat
Work 1
- Point to the pictures and ask these questions: Who are they? Where are they?
What are they talking about?

- listen to T introductions of each picture

- listen to the recording a few times

- say the words in each bubble

III. Procedures
A. MAIN ACTIVITY
Warm-up
- Spend a few minutes revising the previous lesson by playing Pass
the secret!. Follow the procedure in Games in Introduction. Ask pupils to


talk about what they do at Children's Day, New Year, Teachers' Day, Tet,
etc.
B. PRACTICE ACTIVITY
4. Listen and circle
Work 1
- look at the pictures to identify the pictures and the duty of the task.
Check understanding
- Listen to the recording 2 times and circle the correct answers

- leaders hold group and swap the answer
Work 3

- check and read the answer in front of class

Work 1
- Tell pupils that they are going to play Physical line-up: Put pupils in
groups. Write sentences about different festivals on large pieces of paper.
Then cut each into two halves and put all the pieces into a box. The
number of pieces in the box should be the same as the number of pupils
in the group
Continue the game with another group of pupils.

Lesson 3. Part 1, 2, 3
I. Objectives:
By the end of this lesson the SS will be able to pronounce the sounds of
the letters cl and fl in the words clothes, close, flowers and floor
respectively.
II. Teaching aids:
1. Teacher's: book, lesson plan, computer and board.
2. Students': books, notebooks.
III. Procedure:
A. MAIN ACTIVITY
Warm-up
- Spend a few minutes revising the previous lesson by calling a
group of four pupils to the front of the class to play the game Physical
line-up, using the sentence halves you prepared for the last lesson.
1. Listen and repeat
- Tell the class that they are going to practice saying the sounds of the
letter -cl; -fl in red words
Work 1
- listen and follow in their book. Focus on the letter -cl; -fl in red words
- Listen again and repeat all the words and sentences a few times.
- Do choral and individual repetition of the questions and answers until
pupils feel confident.
- Work 2
- Get some pupils to perform the activity. Correct the pronunciation, if

necessary.
B. PRACTICE ACTIVITY
2. Listen and write. Then say aloud.
Work 1
- Ask them to read the sentences and guess the answers.
- Play the recording for them to listen and do the task. Monitor the
activity and offer help, if necessary.
- Play the recording again for pupils to check their answers.

- Ask the class to read the completed sentences aloud.

A. MAIN ACTIVITY
Warm-up
- Greeting
- Spend a few minutes revising the previous lesson by playing Dictation
game
B. PRACTICE ACTIVITY
4. Read and write
- Tell the class that they are going to read the text and write the sentences


Work 1
- read the text and discuss the information to answer the questions
- explain the meaning of the new words: before, after, during,
Work 2:
- leaders hold group compare the answers in pairs
Work 3
- some pupils write the answers on the board
- check and read the passage again.
