• Body’s Response to Stress 
– Sympathetic nervous system prepares body for
“fight or flight”
– Parasympathetic nervous system returns body to
normal after stressor has been removed

General Adaptation Syndrome (GAS)

^^ Hans Selye’s General Adaptation Syndrome (GAS) theory proposes that four
