recordingstudio.
Let'stakeaquicktouroftheGarageBandwindow:
TrackheadersShowtheinstrumenticonandnametothe
leftofeachinstrumenttrack.Thetrackheadersalsoinclude
aMutebuttontosilenceatrack,aSolobuttontosilenceall
othertracks,aRecordEnablebutton(whichallowsyouto
recordtoaspecifictrack),andaLockbuttontoprotectthe
trackanditscontentsfromunintendedchanges.
TrackMixerIncludesaVolumeslidertoadjustthetrack
volumeandaPanwheeltoadjustthepositionofthetrack
intheleft-to-rightstereofield.

TimelineActsasyourmusicrecordingandarranging
workspace.TheTimelineismadeupofhorizontaltracksfor
eachindividualinstrument.TheTimelinegraphically
representslineartimefromlefttorightusingaBeatRuler

YoucanusetheZoom,Minimize,andClosebuttonstoresize
thewindow,minimizeittotheDock,ortoclosethewindowand
theproject.Double-clickingthetitlebaratthetopofthe
GarageBandwindowwillalsominimizethewindow.Youcanuse
thewoodensidepanels,topedge,orbottomedgetodragthe
windowtoadifferentlocationonthescreen.Toresizetheentire
window,dragtheresizecontrolinthelower-rightcornerofthe
window.
