Tim : Okay, but how do I get to the hotel ?
Mrs. Brown : Let me check the map. Oh, yes. Its Phong Lan Road,
just off the highway.
Tim : I remember. See you later.
Mrs. Brown : Bye.
Shannon :Im hungry, Mom.
Mrs. Brown : can you wait until after weve seen the pagoda,
shannon ? The restaurants in Ho Tay Road. Its in the opposite the
direction from the pagoda.
Shannon : Please, Mom. Im starving !
Mr. Brown : Ill take you to the restaurant andget something to eat,
Shannon. Well let your mother go to the pagoda.
Shannon : Thanks, Dad. Perhaps we can get some food at the
restaurant and eat it beside the river.
Mrs. Brown : As you are going in the direction of the bus station,

can you book seats on tomorrows bus to HCM city ? the bus station
is just opposite the tourist information center.
Mr. Brown : All right.
Mrs. Brown : Ill see you back at the hotel.
Shannon : How are you going to get to the pagoda, Mom ?
Mrs. Brown : Im going to walk over the bridge and take the first
road on the left. If I have time, Ill also visit an old temple, which is
just past the pagoda on the same road.

Narration is a kind of writing in which you report events (you
tell someone about something that happened). Narration is
used in many different sitiations. A narrative paragraph is
usually organized in chronological time (order). That means
the exact name and place are introduced right in the topic
sentence and the details are written in the same order that
really happened.
