The passive voice.
Period 1. Passive with present and past simple tenses.
I. Objectives:
- Consolidate Passive with present and past simple tenses.
II. Language content:
S + tobe + V- pp + O.
III. Teaching aids: text book, reference book.
IV. Procedures:

1. Warm-up: 5’
- Call some Ss to change the sentences
into passive form.
+ Mai cooks meals every day.
+ They built this house 2 years ago.
+ The dog chase the cat.
2. Presentation: 10’.
- Repeat the structures:
* present simple tense:
S + am/is/are + V- pp + O.
* Past simple tense:
S + was/were + V- pp +O.
- Ask Ss to make some examples.
3. Practice: 25’.
- Give Ss exercises and ask them do:
Ex 1: Change into passive form.
1. People steal things from the supermarket
everyday.
2. The postman clears this box three times
a day.
3. Nobody swept this street last week.
4. The milkman brings the milk to my door


everyday.
5. They threw away the rubbish.
6. A earthquake destroyed the town.
7. They brought the children up in Italy.
8. William wrote this book in 1982.
- Write the answer on the board.
