8. Summary of the new contributions
8.1. Contributions in terms of academic and theories
Building a thesis theory framwork, which contributes to clarifying the instrumental
concepts including: the concepts of youth resources, the concepts of the role of youth
resources. The role of the youth resources is used to indicate the responsibilities, actions,
duties, and rights of the resources in society and their superior internal traits such as being
pioneer, active, voluntary, and in the front row. Simultaneously, it should affirm the key,
important, major and basic roles that stimulate the development of the youth resources. In
particular, the theoretical framework identifies 5 contents of the roles of the youth resources
in Mekong Delta in new rural development and points out the factors affects the performing
of the roles of the youth resources in Mekong Delta in new rural development.
8.2. New findings and main results of the thesis
Pointing out the achieved and limited results in performing of the roles of the youth
resources in Mekong Delta in new rural development and its causes.
The problematic issues in performing the roles of the youth resources in Mekong

Delta in new rural development today: 1) The gap between the rising requirements of
new rural development and the limitations in the awareness of the Mekong Delta youth
resources about their positions and roles in new rural development; 2) The gap between
the highly demanding in performing the roles of the youth resources in new rural
development and the limitation in education and training, and jobs orientation for the
youth in the Mekong Delta; 3) The gap between the limitations their psychology and close
regional living style and the requirements in new rural development today; 4) The gap
between the high expectation of the Party, Government and the People to the youth and the
youth's organisations in the Mekong Delta in new rural development and the limited
contributions of the youth in new rural development.
To take the full advantages of the roles of youth resources in the Mekong Delta in
new rural development, in the coming time these solutions should be implemented:
1) Increase the awareness for the youth resources on the positions, the pioneer roles of the
youth in the Mekong Delta in new rural development; 2) Set priority for development in
education - training in the Mekong Delta to improve the education, awareness, employment
opportunities, political ideology, morality, living style for the youth resources to meet the
demands of new rural development; 3) Enhance the new cultural life development in the
Mekong Delta, correct the negative impacts of regional culture, psychology, and living
style on the youth resources in new rural development; 4) Make the full advantages of the
youth resources and youth's organisations in the Mekong Delta in new rural development.
