I. Objectives: By the end of this lesson Ss should be able to talk about their family, their friends'
families and know how to express their experience of home life.

Before you speak(15’)
Act 1. Who does these in your family?
1. clean up the room
2. dust the furniture
3. fix up the apartment
4. hang up the suit
5. make the bed
6. pick up the clothes
7. polish the furniture
8. put away the books
9. sweep up the mess
10. throw out the garbage
11. tidy up the closet
12. turn off the light
13. vacuum the floor
14. wash the clothes
15. watch the kids
Act 2. Make questions to ask your friends about:
- who works in the family
- who does the household chores
- your friends' responsibility in the family


- the interest the family members share closely
- the person your friend often shares his / her secrets with
- the person your friend talks to before making an
important decision
T gives feed back and helps Ss distinguish questions with:
Ss read quickly and share with
their friends.
Act 2. Ss work in group and give
their questions.
- Who works in your family?
- Who does the household chores
in your family?
- What is your responsibility in
your family?
- What the interest do your family
members share closely?
- Who do you often shares your
secrets with?
- Who do you talk to before
making an important decision?

Ss work in pair and practice the
questions and answers.

questions about your family?

Act 2: Ss work with other partner
and talk about the information
they have collected.
Ss give their assessment.
V. Homework (1’): Ss practice what they’ve learnt.
