Mình là Ngọc Bách. Trong các bài viết gần đây, mình có chia sẻ khá nhiều các list từ

bài dưới đây là đề thi Writing hôm thứ 7 tuần trước.

Some people think that governments should ban dangerous sports, while others
think people should have freedom to do any sports or activity. Discuss both views
and give your own opinion.
Các bạn sẽ thấy đây là một đề bài liên quan đến 2 chủ đề “GOVERNMENT” và
“SPORT”, do vậy để viết được tốt bài này các bạn cần có ideas và vocabulary liên

dụng các ideas, vocabulary liên quan đến chủ đề và viết không (hoặc rất ít) lỗi sai ngữ
pháp, từ vựng là OK.

Essay Plan:
Introduction: admit the dangers of extreme sports; agree with those who think
that people should be free to take part in them
Paragraph 2: 1st view: two reasons to ban [1] safety – people may die or be badly
injured [2] some people who take part are too inexperienced or unfit.
Paragraph 3: 2nd view: agree the sports should not be banned [1] safety measures
– experienced instructors should supervise: examples - scuba diving/paragliding
[2] good protective equipment and clothes are now available to make sports
safer.
Conclusion: allow people to do dangerous sports, but act responsibly.
It is true that there is widespread concern over the practice of extreme sports, to the
extent that some people argue that they should be outlawed by government
legislation. While nobody should underestimate the risks, I would argue that people
should be free to practice such sports if they so wish.
On the one hand, critics of dangerous sports give strong reasons why governments
should impose an official ban on such activities. Firstly, they argue that such a
measure is necessary on safety grounds. There have been numerous incidents where
members of rescue services have had to put their own lives at risk to save extreme
sports enthusiasts who are in life-threatening situations. Secondly, it is necessary at
times to infringe on personal freedoms because people who lack the necessary
experience or who are not in the peak of physical condition sometimes take up
dangerous sports. Such irresponsible behaviour can only be prevented by banning
these sports.
On the other hand, I concur with those who argue that people should be free to do
extreme sports, although I believe it is necessary for individuals to abide by the safety
rules. One reason is that the imposition of sensible safety measures has been proven to
minimize the risk of accidents and injuries. For example, all sports which carry a
significant element of danger, such as scuba diving or paragliding should be
supervised by an experienced and professionally qualified instructor. Another factor is

that there is now a range of essential sports gear to protect those who practice
dangerous sports. Such equipment ranges from safety ropes and helmets to waterresistant clothing.
In conclusion, it seems to me that dangerous sports should be permitted, although
those who take part have a responsibilty to adhere to the recommended safety
procedures.

khi một số khác cho rằng mọi người nên có quyền tự do quyết định tham gia bất cứ
môn thể thao hoặc hoạt động nào. Thảo luận về hai quan điểm trên và đưa ra ý kiến cá
nhân.
Mở bài (2 câu)
Câu 1: It is true that there is widespread concern over the practice of extreme sports,
to the extent that some people argue that they should be outlawed by government
legislation.
• Paraphrasing the topic: Dẫn dắt vào chủ đề thảo luận và đưa ra hai luồng ý kiến
cần được thảo luận. Viết dựa trên câu đề bài đã cho nhưng sử dụng ngôn ngữ
khác.
Câu 2: While nobody should underestimate the risks, I would argue that people should
be free to practice such sports if they so wish.
• Answer the question: Nêu ý kiến của bản thân theo quan điểm nào.
