Pensioner tricked.
An elderly woman's bag was snatched from her hands after a thief crept into her home.
A teenage boy knocked on the front door of the pensioner's home on Cannon Street and
claimed he was from the council. As he spoke to the woman, his accomplice sneaked in
through the back door and stole her bag, containing cash and property totalling to £40.
The boy who was talking to the woman is described as white, aged 16-17, 5ft 4in, slim,
straight short brown hair and wore a short grey sleeved shirt. Anyone with information
about the burglary on April 4 should call the police on 856 8208.
