IV. Procedure:
1. Warm up (7 minutes)
Teacher Students
- Ask Ss to look at the pictures in Ss books
in page 63.

- Guide Ss to read the phrases in the box.


- Give the game of Matching.
- Remark and give correct answers.
* Getting started .
- Look at the pictures.
- Read the phrases.
- Play game in two teams.

2. Presentation (12 minutes)
* Pre teach new words:
- Guide Ss to practice the new words.
- Give the game of What and Where
* Present the structure.
- Ask Ss to look at and read the examples on
the poster.
- Ask Ss to tell the form of the present
perfect tense.
- Tell the use :
Use: Thì hiện tại hoàn thành diễn tả hành
động bắt đầu trong Qk, tiếp tục đến hiện
tại và tơng lai ( sd với since/ for)

I. New words
+ since : từ
+ for : trong khoảng
+ close by = near : gần
+ serve: phục vụ
+ pancake: bánh bột mì trứng, bơ rán 2 mặt.
+ delicious: ngon.
- Repeat in chorus.
- Repeat individually.
- Play game What and Where
II. Grammar:
* Present perfect tense
Ex1: We have been here since last week
Ex2: We have lived here for about 10 years
Form:
S + have / has + P.P
Use: Thì hiện tại hoàn thành diễn tả hành
động bắt đầu trong Qk, tiếp tục đến hiện
tại và tơng lai ( sd với since/ for)
+ Since + a point of time ( date)
+ for + a period of time
Để hỏi về thời gian dùng How long
How long + have / has + S + P.P ?
3. Practice (15 minutes)
- Play the tape twice.
? How many people are there?
? Who are they?
- Ask Ss to scan the dialogue again and
answer the questions:
? Who is the newcomer?

? How long has Nam lived in the
neighborhood?
- Ask Ss to practice the dialogue.
- Call some pairs to practice the dialogue
III. Practice
- Listen to the tape without looking at the
books.
- Answer teachers questions.
- Scan the dialogue.
+ Na is the newcomer.
+ He has lived there for about 10 years.
- Work in closed pairs.
- Some pairs practice in front of the class.

Practice speaking skills.

Vocabulary: surface mail, weigh ( t) item, charge.
Grammar: S1 + be + adj er than + S2 / S1 + be + more adj + than + S2.

Ask answer.

IV. Procedure:
1. Warm up (7 minutes)

* Check the old lesson:
- Call 1 Ss to write the new words on the
board.
- Call some pairs to read the dialogue loudly.

- 1 Ss writes the new words.
- Some pairs read the dialogue aloud in front
of the class.
2. Pre - speaking (10 minutes)
* Pre teach the new words:
- Guide Ss to practice the new words.
- Give the game of R.O.R
? Retell the form how to use the comparative
adjectives
? What do you say when you want to know
the price of something?
* Set the scene: Mrs. Kim wants to send a
parcel to Quy Nhon. Read the dialogue to
see how she send by airmail or surface mail

+ surface mail (n) : th đờng bộ
+ weigh ( v): Cân
+ weight ( n): Cân nặng
+ item ( n): vật phẩm
+ charge (n): cớc phí.
- Repeat in chorus.

- Repeat individually.
- Play game.

Ex: I am taller than my sister.
This pen is more expensive than that
one.

3. While … speaking (15 minutes)
- Ask Ps to read the dialogue in pairs.
? Read the brochure & information?
- Have Ps make similar dialogue using the
brochure and the information in the box.
Ex:
A: Next, please!
B: I want to send this letter to Kon Tum,
please?
A: Do you want to send it airmail or surface
mail?
B: I am not sure. How much is airmail?
A: I’ll have to weigh it first. Twenty grams.
That’ll be 2,000dong.
B: I’ll send airmail. Here you are.

A: Thank you.
II. Practice
- Practice the dialogue.
- Scan the information.
- Work in pairs.
4. Production (10 minutes)
* Make questions for each sentence.
a) Not bad. And you?
b) I go shopping twice a week.
c) I’m looking for a birthday present.
d) This pen is twenty thousand dong.

h) It’s about 5 km.
- Correct the mistakes and give correct
answers.
- Work in four groups: Group 1, 3: 1 – 4

- Hang the posters and compare the answers.
