I. Aims and objectives :
* Language content: To review the vocabulary relating to places, everyday, actions,
time and classes
To review the structures of the present simple tense.
* Language function: To help the Ss to practice using the present simple tense with
everyday actions, asking for and saying the time.
* Educational aim: The Ss can know how to write English well.
1. Language :
a.Vocabulary: review
b.Structures: review.
2. Skills : Speaking – Listening - Reading - Writing
3. Educational factor : The Ss should have good habits of their daily routine.
II. Teacher’s and students’ preparation :
1. Method: Communicative approach:
2. Techniques: repetition, substitution, questions and answers
3. Material needed: textbook, pictures, cassette player.
4. Students’ preparation: Picture, new lesson.
5. Previous exercises: Teacher’s key to the last exercises.
III. PROCEDURES IN CLASS :

I. Lead – in:
- Sets the situation:
- Asks the Ss to work in groups,
put the following words into
their correct order to make
meaningful sentences.

- Checks the feedback.
- Introduces the new lesson:
- Reads the meaningful
sentences and asks the Ss “

- Let’s review the present

simple tense.
II. Pre – Practice:
- Underlines the main parts
relating to the present simple
tense and asks the Ss to say the
structures.
- Writes the notes:
a. S + V / Vs/ Ves.
Ex: He gets / watches / listens..
b. S + don’t / doesn’t + V
Ex: He doesn’t go / watch…
c. Do / Does + S + V..?
Wh- / how + do / does + S +
V..?
Ex: What do you do everyday?
- Reminds the Ss that we use
the present simple tense to talk
about what do you do everyday,
everyweek, and how often you
do things.

- Groupwork.
- Individual

- Listen to the
correct sentences
and guess the

- Corrects the Ss’mistakes.

verb form of the verbs in
brackets in the following
sentences.

V. Consolidation:
- Summarizes the usages and
the formation of the present
simple tense.
