I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will:

- Identify, read and use letter “W’’ in the words in lesson 1: window, washing,

-Practice pronunciation the letter “w” in the words:window, washing, water, 
Wendy

- Express students’ concern aboutspeaking four words correctly: window, 
washing, water, Wendy

II. Teaching aids:

Audio, stickers, puppets, flashcards
III. Procedures

1. Warm up: Game: matching
2. Presentation:

Activity 2: Point and say
1. Set the scene:

Ask ss to look at the picture and discuss about the picture. Ss say what they can see
in the picture.

- Ss find out: window, washing, water, Wendy
- Point to the picture and say

- One st point to each picture, another st say the word.
- Change the role

** Peer assessment: (Pronunciation, Vocabulary, sentence patterns, interaction)

Activity 3: Chant!

- Have ss read and give comment about the chant: there are 3 cantos

- Have ss listen to the chant (twice or more)
- Have ss listen to the chant again, repeat line by line
- Have ss listen to the chant, repeat the whole chant

- Have ss say the chant aloud (clap their hands in rhythm)

** Oral comment: pronunciation, and stress of the words.

I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson ss will be able to:
- Tell about the plural things, using “I can see…”

- Write correctly letter W; fill letter w to complete the words; sing a song.
- Express students' concern about letter .

II. Teaching aids:

Audio, stickers, puppets, flashcards
III. Procedures

1. Warm up: Game: matching
2. Presentation

Activity 5: Let's talk

** Oral comment

Look at the pictures and discuss about the picture. Ss say what they can see in the
picture.

** Point to the picture and say

Intrduce the sentence pattern: “I can see…”

Repeat in chorus, individual.
Model with some ss

Call some ss to go to the board and make example

Ask ss to work in pairs/ groups of 3 or 4, point to the pictures and make sentences

** Oral comment: pronunciation, and stress of the words.

Activity 6: Look and write

Have ss look at the letter W (written in capitals and in lowercase), the 
uncompleted words

Ask ss to say what they have to do
