<b>I. AIMS </b>
1. Knowledge
- By the end of the lesson, students will be able to consolidate the sound of the
letters Rr, Ss, Tt and Uu and the corresponding words.
- Vocabulary Revision : Rabbit, rocket, robot, ring; Sun, star, snake, sea; Tree,
tent, tiger, tea; Up, umbrella, ugly, under

3. Attitude: Educate Sts to love their lesson. Work hard

2. Warm up : (5’) Bingo game
- Prepare some bingo cards with the words in unit 5-8 and hand them out to the
students. Each bingo card should have a different set of words
- Say the words or show the pictures and have the students put a tick into the
pictures in their bingo card. The winner is the first student whose card is full of
tick and who show Bingo
3. New lesson: (30’)

- Ask them if they like reading stories and what

- Ask the students to read out the words
- Invite students to guess what they think the

follow the story in their books, pointing to the

- Ask students to close their book
- Read out a few sentences from the story and
ask the students to complete them

<b>2.Who’s missing? Draw and color (5mins)</b>
- Explain the activity
- Point to the umbrella and the animals and
name them.
- Ask the students to say which animal is
missing
- Ask them to draw and color it.
<b> Act Out(5mins)</b>
-Read the sentences in the story, pause at the
key words and invite the students to mime them
<i>(the snake, the sun, the tiger, the tree, the </i>
<i>umbrella).</i>
- Have the students come to the front of the
classroom and act out the story
- Encourage them to have fun as they perform

-Point to an item in the story
- Ask individual student to correct teacher’s
statements.

-Divide the class into two teams, A and B, make
2 lines
-Put up the phonics cards (from part 3) on the

team, race to touch the cards.
-The first student to touch the card wins a point
The team with more points wins the game.
