- Introduce the task of activity 4 (page 53).


- Have Ss look at the pictures and identify different things.
- Check their comprehension and give feedback.


- Play the CD three times for ss listen and do the task.
- Get ss to swap their answers with a partner.


- Call some ss to say their answers.


- Play the CD again for ss to check the answers. Then write
them on the BB for ss to copydown into the notebook.

<b> Activity 2: Look and write </b>


- Tell ss that they are going to look at the pictures, read the
sentences and fill the gaps.


- Ask ss to look at the pictures and read the text silently.
- Check their comprehension.


- Have ss time to do the task.


- Get ss to swap and check the answer in pairs.
- Call two ss to write the sentences on the BB.


- Check and comment. Have ss to read sentences aloud and


copydown into the notebook.

- Tell ss that they are going to play game: “Slap the board”.
- Stick some pictures of school things on the board and tell ss
the rule of game.


- Have ss play the game in pairs.


- Call pairs taking turn to play the game.



- Declare the winner and have ss to read all words once.

Have Ss look at the pictures on p.54


<b>- Teach vocabulary: notebooks, pens, pencil cases, rubbers,</b>

- Elicit the structures

- Elicit the characters in the pictures and their names. Ask Ss to
guess and complete the speech bubbles.

- Have the whole class repeat all the phrases in chorus to

- Have Ss find more words which have the same sounds:

- Tell ss that they are going to do a dictation.
- Have ss to read the sentences in silence.
- Play the CD for ss listen and do the task.
- Get ss peer-check.
