<b>I. Objective: </b>

- To consolidate the sound of the letters that they’ve learned from unit 9 to unit 13.
<b>2. Skill: </b>


- Listening, speaking, reading, writing.
<b>II. Teaching aids: </b>


- Book, CD, phonics cards, paper including the lyrics of the song, TV.
<b>III. Method:</b>


- Model-Talk-Practice, individual work, pair work, group work.


- Some techniques can be used: music chairs, correct teacher, act out…
<b>IV. Procedures:</b>

- Greeting and check student attendence.

<b>2. Warm up (5’) </b>
<i><b>Activity: Guess</b></i>



- Choose some phonics cards from Units 9 – 13.
- T divides the class into 2 groups, A and B.


- T pass one card in each group (from the first row to the last row).


- Say: Stop! The 2 students holding the cards must say the name of the item.
- Keep passing the first card and pass the second card to each group.


- Say: Stop! The 4 students holding the cards must say the name of the item.
<b>3. New lesson (30')</b>

<i><b>*Activity 1. Listen point and repeat (10')</b></i>


- Click play the CD.


- T points to and elicit the sound of each letter
and the picture.


- T plays the CD and asks Ss to listen, point
and repeat the letters.


- Ss read aloud individual.
<i><b>*Activity 2. Song (10’)</b></i>


- Put up the nut, net, nest phonics card on
board.


- Ask ss to point the nut and say a nut is in a


<i>n, n, net.</i>


- Ss listen and sing.


- T do the same with the rest of the song.

- Ss remember the cards.


- T play the CD. Ask Ss to listen and sing.
- Ask Ss to take out the nut, net, nest picture
cards and put them on the desk.


- Ss close the eyes and take away a card.
- Play the CD and ask Ss listen and hold up
the corresponding card.


- Say the card missing.


<i><b>*Activity 3: Which one is missing (10’) </b></i>
- Put the card up on the table and give ss a
minute to look at them and ask ss close their
eyes and take away a card.


- Ss open their eyes and name the card
missing.


- T write the letters A, B, C, D on the board
and asks Ss to repeat.



- T play the Cd Ss listen and sing along.
- T asks Ss to takes out their own Vv – Zz
picture cards and place them on their desks.
- T plays the CD again and asks Ss hold up
the corresponding pictures cards.
