LPG PRODUCTION PLANTS
I.DIFINITION

LPG stands for Liquefied Petroleum Gas, a mixture of
light hydrocarbon, in gaseous form. LPG là từ viết tắt của
Liquefied Petroleum Gas, là hỗn hợp hydrocarbon nhẹ, ở
thể khí.

LPG exists in nature in the oil or gas wells and can
also be produced at the refinery. LPG tồn tại trong thiên
nhiên ở các giếng dầu hoặc giếng gas và cũng có thể sản
xuất ở các nhà máy lọc dầu.

The main components of LPG are propane (C3H8)
and butane (C4H10), a colorless, odorless, tasteless and
non toxic. Thành phần chính của LPG là Propane (C3H8)
và Butane (C4H10), không màu, không mùi, không vị và
không có độc tố.

Colorless. Không màu.

Odorles. (People often make the smell of LPG by the smell of the
substance before supply to consumers to easily detect when a gas
leak.) . Không mùi. (Người ta thường làm cho LPG có mùi bằng
cách cho chất tạo mùi vào trước khi cung cấp cho người tiêu dùng
để dễ dàng phát hiện ra khi có sự rò rỉ gas).

Flammable. Dễ cháy.

Heavier than air. Nặng hơn không khí.

Weighing about half the weight of water. Trọng lượng bằng
khoảng một nửa trọng lượng nước.

Do not toxic but can cause asphyxiation. Không chứa chất độc
nhưng có thể gây ngạt thở.

CHARACTERISTIC

LPG is liquefied at a temperature of -30oC, the absolute pressure
of LPG fuel in the tank at 150C is 4.4 bars. LPG được hóa lỏng ở
nhiệt độ -30oC, áp suất tuyệt đối của nhiên liệu LPG trong bồn chứa là
4,4 bars ở 150C.

Ratio of Propane catches fire (octane from 104 to 110) is from
2.4% to 9.6% in air, self-burning temperature is 8550F (457do C).
LPG được hóa lỏng ở nhiệt độ -30oC, áp suất tuyệt đối của nhiên liệu

LPG trong bồn chứa là 4,4 bars ở 150C.

The expansion of LPG at around 0.25% / 0C, so we must always
contain the LPG gas at about 80% by volume in the same tank of
fuel volume. Sự giãn nở của LPG vào khoảng 0,25%/0C, do đó ta phải
luôn chứa khí LPG ở khoảng 80% thể tích bồn chứa trong cùng một
khối lượng nhiên liệu.
PRODUCTION METHOD
I. COMPRESSION METHOD

Principle of the method is material evidence will be put into the
tower of hydrocarbons extracted mainly from C2 to C4. Nguyên
tắc của phương pháp là nguyên liệu được đưa vào tháp chưng sẽ
tách ra các khí hydrocacbon chủ yếu từ C2 tới C4.

The gas is delivered to the compressor to the pressure p = 1.2 to
1.5 MPa, liquefied, and then was sent to the tower separating
ethane and propane separation tower. Product of the process as
ethane, propane, butane. Các khí này được đưa vào máy nén tới áp
suất p = 1,2 – 1,5 MPa, hóa lỏng, rồi được đưa sang tháp tách etan
và tháp tách propan. Sản phẩm của quá trình là etan, propan,
butan.
