P1. REVISION (Ôn tập)

I.Grammar:

1-The simple Future tense / near future tense 
Form: S + will / shall + V-inf + O

S + be going to + V-inf + O 
Note: I, We  shall or will for all S

 Advs : next (week / year / month), tomorrow, tonight…
Eg: - He (visit) his grandparents next week

He will visit his grandparents next week

- What you (do) tomorrow? => What will you do tomorrow?
2. The simple Past tense:

Form: S + was / were +A/O
S + V(_ed/P1) + A/O

 Advs : yesterday, ago, last (week, year, month)….
Eg:

- Where Minh (go) yesterday? =>Where did Minh go yesterday?

- Hoa (be) a new student last year =>Hoa was a new student last year.
3. Too, so, either, neither:

Cách dùng các trạng từ: Too, so, either, neither.

1-TOO và EITHER: “cũng vậy”: được đặt ở cuối câu.

a)TOO: được dùng ở cuối câu khẳng định.

b)EITHER: được dùng ở cuối câu phủ định.

Eg. Lan isn‟t a student. Her brother isn‟t a student, either.

2-SO và NEITHER: “cũng vậy”.

a)SO: được dùng ở cuối câu khẳng định nhưng có sự đảo ngược chủ ngữ và trợ động

từ trong câu.

SO + TĐT(auxiliary verb) + Subject.

Eg1. Lan is a student. Her brother is a student, too.
= Lan is a student. So is her brother.

*Loan can cook. Huy can cook, too.
= *Loan can cook. So can Huy.

b)NEITHER: được dùng ở câu phủ định nhưng có sự đảo ngược chủ ngữ và trợ động

từ trong câu.

NEITHER + TĐT(auxiliary verb) + Subject.

Eg1. Lan isn‟t a student. Her brother isn‟t a student, either. = Lan isn‟t a student.
Neither is her brother.

*Loan can‟t cook. Huy can‟t cook, either. = *Loan can‟t cook. Neither can Huy.
Eg2: I‟m not a student

** Chú ý:

Neither = not either (Neither am I = I‟m not either; Neither can I = I can‟t either).

Neither tự nó đã là từ phủ định, dù động từ đi với nó ở xác định.

b) Cánh dùng “Enough” (đủ):

b1)Nếu Enough: là một tính từ thì nó sẽ thường đứng trước 1 danh từ:
Eg. I have enough money to buy this book.

b2) Nếu Enough là một trạng từ, thì thường đứng sau một trạng từ hay một tính từ
khác.

+) S + to be + (not) + adj + enough (for somebody) + to +V_infinitive. 
* This coffee is warm enough (for you) to drink.

+) S + V_(chia) +adv + enough +(for smb) + to + V_inf. 
 Nam ran fast enough to catch the bus.

in Canada and then to the U.S.A in 1870s. He worked with deaf-mutes at Boston
University and did experiments with ways of transmitting speech over a long

Thank for your letter. I'm plased to hear you had happy mother'sday. I received my
second semester report last month. I got good grades for Geography, Physics and
Math, but my Enghlish and history results were poor. My teacher told me to improve
Enghlish and History. I think I'll have to study harder next school year.

In a few weeks we are going to celebrate the Mid- Auturm Festival. That's a moon
festival in Autunm or Fall in VN, I'm going to Ha Long Bay with my aunt and uncle by
Bus this afternoon and I'm going to stay there with until after the festival

1) Adverbs of manner.

o We use adverbs of manner to modify main verb in a sentence, it stands behind
intransitive verb and behind objects of transitive verb.

- We use “tell” to change a direct command into an indirect one.

- If reported verb is in the past form, we must change “tell” into “told”.
- Change bare-infinitive in direct speech into full-infinitive.

Indirect: He asked me to help him.

Direct: The doctor said. “Can you do me a favor?”

*Form:

S + have/ has + P2 + …

*Usages: Thì HTHT dùng để diễn tả những hành động xảy ra trong quá khứ

còn liên quan đến hiện tại hoặc vẫn đang xảy ra ở hiện tại.

*Cũng như dạng thức quá khứ của động từ (past tense), dạng quá khứ phân từ (past 
participle) cũng được chia làm 2 loại: có quy tắc (regular verbs) và bất quy tắc 
(irregular verbs).

Trong T.A có hơn 200 động từ bất quy

tắc, với những động từ này chúng ta chỉ có cách là học thuộc lịng.

a1- So sánh bằng nhau: Khi diễn tả ý so sánh hai người hay 2 vật, sự vật giống nhau
về tính chất:
